The roof looks great! I have a Nissan Elgrand Poptop but drive a VW car so love looking at micro campers and other people's designs, especially for VWs. The black roof and alloy wheels really make, what could have been, something quite plain look fabulous, Great job!

Hi John the roof has made a big difference with space and head hight for a smaller van there is so much you can do with it , thought of adding colour but think the black and white looks good so just going with it. got a few more things in the pipeline so hopefully get round to them soon. Hi, van looks awesome can I ask how you go about insurance as if it was a panel van and you’ve added windows and a pop top do you have to get specialist insurance or just normal company but declare each modification

Hi thanks for following along i had to move insurance companies as my original one wouldn't insure after i had all the modifications done i managed to get insured with a specialist company in England i declared everything i had done and they have basically had to insure it as a campervan. Lovely conversion mate. What rock and roll bed did you get and how much head room have you got for the rear seats when the roof is down?

Hi thanks for taking time to watch the video, I got the rock and roll bed made to size it's 900mm wide 2 seater, when in bed position it's 1800mm long. When the roof is down i can sit up and there is still space above my head . The bed was made by a company called hammonds camper beds. ATB ALLY 👍

Hi Christopher thanks for following along really loved doing the conversion, I got the furniture made by a furniture maker and I fitted it in to the van , the roof was installed by a company as it wasn't a thing to get wrong, I installed most of the windows electrics the carpet lining and loads more . HI Ian thanks for tagging along i used the awning rail c channel in black and was stuck down using sika flex 522 as didn't want to drill holes on the roof its powerful it will never come off it comes in 3 metre length if you try the website ukleisureparts.co.uk this is the same one i have. Hi thanks for viewing the video it's round about £3500 for the pop top supplied and fitted , I was about £4500 as I got the bed fitted in the top and lights and solar panel as extras. Ally 👍

Hi thanks for view the video got the van a few years ago for 20 thousand was only a couple years old, the conversion including alloys right, down to the small accessories i recon about 8 to 9 thousand so say under 30 all in Atb Ally 👍

Wow, what a fantastic conversion! I have a Berlingo XL and want to do something like this with mine 🚐 You even managed an awning rail. Can you recommend a good awning for micro campers? I only ever see ones for bigger vehicles

Hi thanks for viewing the video it's been a brilliant project to work on , the original awning I had was a 4x4 direct awning which attached to the roof bars really good awning I had to do away with it when got the poptop, if you take a look at the first video I done it shows the awning before I got the poptop.
