I like the idea of the floating floor, no screw holes to rust. Brilliant.

Exactly, I cant see the point of drilling holes through the floor causing rusting, this way theres no contact with outside, once the units are fixed there no movement. Thanks for watching.

You use tigerseal, sikaflex or some other marine adhesive on the batons. Batons are best imo, extra strength for the walkways and furniture, plus a place to screw things in.

I needed max headroom, so extra batterns was a no for me. And batterns cause cold bridging.

Hi your doing a great job I have just done exactly the same van! Only thing I would say is drop your headlining and insulate with the dodo mat otherwise you’re going to suffer with condensation dripping into the cup holders! 👍🏻👍🏻

Greetings. I have virtually the same van but in Man Tge form. I am currently doing the same self conversion but a little further on. Just a massive heads up to be very careful when attaching any fixtures to the interior as the body panels on the new crafters and tges are very thin and will distort very easily...luckily as an ex body repairer I noticed this very early in my build and took extra care on every piece of the build since. I am looking forward to following your build. All the best mate 😊

@battletank9493 thanks for that, I’ve noticed there very flexible ! When I fitted the small windows the panels are very flexible but fitting the windows actually made them more stiffer, thanks for watching. 👍

That's good news....mine mainly affected the rear lower panels when fitting the garage area. Just subscribed mate...I am sure there will be other pearl's of wisdom that I will put on here to save you from the little traps I fell into. Enjoy the build 🥳

Did you remove the headliner above the cab and insulate? These vans have a problem where you get condensation above the cab and it drips down into the cup holder on the left. Might be worth looking at before you make a shelf. Enjoying the content.

Yes I removed the headliner, it’s a bit of a pain!, the handles unscrews and plastic need prising off, there’s clips holding the headliner up. I didn’t show it in the video because it was a afterthought. It’s Worth doing though, I saw this problem on another channel. Thanks for watching.👍
