Sir, I have NO IDEA what I'm talking about But redirecting heat back to the unit Seems DANGEROUS Or at least bad for the unit But maybe it's just heating the water more efficiently. I'll say a prayer forya just in case But I'm the world's worst Christian So don't expect any Divine Intervention If that tank blows.🤪😜😘✝️

I done lots of testing with a inferred thermometer to make sure the heat comes out rather than back in. The heat Shield is angled to move the heat outward. The door should be held open. Thanks for your comment 👍
