Lovely, clean looking job. One flares fan. Fantastic. Done carefully and professionally. Thank you for putting this here for us. Much appreciated. Best wishes, Pam

Hi. I find your videos very informative. I’m in the process of looking for a crafter myself. Would it be possible to put links in your description as to where you get certain items. I.e , the pods, the rear view camera, brackets for the bed etc. Thanks in advance and I look forward to your next video 👍
@luxduoverland67410 ай бұрын
Hi thanks for the support, the website I got the pods from is in the video description. I will try and remember to add other things in the future and see if I can post the links. The camera was a vehicle specific kit from Amazon and the bed brackets you can order for free from the Ikea website parts section. Ikea sells the skorva bed beams but not the brackets though they are easy enough to order and they don’t charge.

Hi could you send me the link to the California hinges Thanks . Loved the videos.
@luxduoverland6747 ай бұрын
Hi I got the California hinge from the same place as the side flares. It was www.a2bconversions.com that supplied everything maybe they will sell just the roller hinge if you ask. Thanks for your comment and glad you enjoyed the videos. Got more coming just been a bit delayed this last couple of months due to injury.

Great video 👍 do you have the part number for the door roller?
@luxduoverland67410 ай бұрын
I think it’s stamped on the roller itself so will have to try and see if I can see it. It’s a genuine VW California roller though. I’ll have a look as see if I can get it for you.

Cheers mate. Tony just dropped mine off today. Question for you > Was one tube of bonding enough for both pods? Cheers 🤘
@luxduoverland674Ай бұрын
Hi I think I used two tubes, not all of the second one but definitely more than one tube. I bought 3 to make sure I had enough as it’s not the type of adhesive you can buy in my local DIY shop.

Looks great! What hand nibler are you using? Ive not seen one before. Thanks.
@luxduoverland6747 ай бұрын
Thanks, it’s a parkside electric nibbler like this one on eBay www.ebay.co.uk/itm/145570694992?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=enX54lm3Rf6&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=VpZcwKQnTKm&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY It was superb and cut out the fan, windows and pods easily. Much neater job as the nibbler follows the manufacturer edge on the inside. No sharp edges either so in my option safer to use. Bought it specifically for this job and saved a lot of money doing these things myself. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

@@luxduoverland674 thanks for the reply. Yeah they are great aren't then, I've got a Makita one and have used it for years. Perfect for a great finish without the drawbacks of other methods. I meant the hand nibbler though that you used on the inside...I would normally cut that with an angle grinder but you have to protect everything and then clean up the mess but you managed to get between the skins with that tool.
@luxduoverland6747 ай бұрын
@@samscotchmer6836 Ah right sorry thought you meant the electric one 🙄. It’s a Draper one like this amzn.eu/d/gdajCFd I looked at different ways before doing it and I didn’t want all that swarf flying round inside the van. It’s a great little tool and cuts easily with no mess at all. The cut metal curls up as you go leaving a nice little coil and no swarf.

My whole battery tool collection is parkside 👍, most I rarely use so as you say not worth the investment in say de Walt .
@luxduoverland67411 ай бұрын
I’ve got Makita drills and impact driver but not worth the few hundred for this job. The Parkside nibbler did the job perfectly, I also have an impact gun the same make and it’s pretty good. I’m not taking the wheels off everyday so it does what I need and it’s quicker than using a ratchet 😂.
@Dirt-Diggler11 ай бұрын
@luxduoverland674 same here, I have de Walt for work and parkside for DIY, I also have the wheel gun, it's actually quite good, I was surprised, OK it's no snap on but it manages my transit wheel nuts ok, well IF they are torqued correctly it will, it struggles if hey have been air gunned over tight by some monkey in a tyre shop 🤣 but that's what a 3ft breaker bar is for 😁
@luxduoverland67411 ай бұрын
@@Dirt-Diggler it’s great for getting the wheels off the truck as I torque them correctly 😉.
