Thanx Ivan, i am autodidact actually.
@arnobruynen60736 жыл бұрын
Being an autodidact is the best way to learn IMO. I was an electrician before I started working on cars so this kind of stuff all makes a lot of sense to me already. The thing that I had to learn myself is how all these electrical components are actually controlling stuff in the car like the engine or transmission. Learning it yourself is great because you develop greater insight in specific things than if someone were to teach you ;)

Hi, Dan For the past year, I’ve struggled with my 2011 MK6 Golf regarding the issue you address in this video. Last winter, I had a problem with water getting in my car at the passenger’s feet area - apparently, through some clogged lines that were supposed to drain the water from the sunroof under the car. At about the same time, I realised my car won’t heat the passenger area at all, no matter what settings I used for the climatronic. Went to a mechanic and he took my whole dashboard apart, he said it was an issue with the heat core being clogged. My car was finally blowing heat into the passenger area. Exactly one year later, I realised my car was doing the exact same thing - only blew cold air in the passenger area. Went to the same mechanic, he told me he unclogged some lines / something (no dashboard removal this time) and the car blew nice, hot air through all the air vents...for a couple of days. I’m now in the situation that my car blows cold air through ALL the right side (passenger’s) of the car (including the back side). I didn’t reach a VAG COM diagnose tool until now, but I suspect there is no fault code about this. What do you recommend me to do first? Car in discussion is MK6 Golf, 1.4/90kw, Climatronic, LHD. Thank you!

How much time and money did it cost you? Thank you !

@@ivicaslavkovski3251 yes I had the same problem as in the video. I removed the thermistor got the exact part number printed on it and looked on eBay, I got a used one for around £10. What I like to do when diagnosing sensors like this, is to see if the read-out changes when I disconnect the sensor. If nothing happens, then the sensor is toast. Also, if your scan tool knows the range of the sensor, and the read-out is spot on the outer limits, you can tell if it's a sensor fault, wiring, or (in the case of an AC pressure sensor) the gas pressure is too low.

As a precaution and due to past problems, I changed both temperature sensors and water pump (previous pump had a leak). Now I have 5v referencing but fan fails to switch on. Don't see any relays or fuses connected to the fan. My take is the fan is working properly because the faulty sensor is able to switch it on. Don't know where to search for the fan control module.
