Powertrain wise, this is an incredible technical achievement. Truly. The issue (and part of the charm) is that it's in a Golf MK1. With poor aero and massive chassis flex even with your roll cage. I dont know if you have added strut bracing and subframe bracing but that may help. In addition to checking how your suspension geometry is set up under load. You probably want to keep the car looking stock as it underlines the sleeper credentials, but a few tweaks may help. A boot lip or spoiler and discreet front skirt. Underbody flat panels, perhaps a discreet diffuser under the rear bumper to help aid with the aero stability when approaching 200 kph with that amount of power being put down. I'd definitely want to double check that front steering set up and geometry especially the front axle is also driven. Mind you, I'm just someone on the internet. You probably wont even read this message but if you do, Your car is bloody spectacular. The Mclaren P1 has a kindered in this Golf. Widowmaker. :)

I've owned 2 golf mk1, one resenable stock the other had a g60, and lowered as far as I could that was just plain horrible scary to drive. On the highway it was alright but the slightest bump or dip in the road send ur head into the roof and it's easy to lose control. And that was maby 150hp maby little more . But far far away from a 1000 HP. That's like 5 times more HP I'm impressed the driver seat doesn't break-off at the bolds holding u in place by that kind of acceleration. And I've owned Porsche 911 Benz ect all kind of cars none that many HP by far it's a miracle to me u can handle this. Plz be careful out there. Live changes as quickly as u can change gears. My friend. But all credits for even making this kind of power.

BigPants I love GTR's,there are thousands of souped up mk 1's that wil beat it,but seriously,no modern vw can keep up to a GTR.I also love VW,tuning a mk 1 will never feel the same as a GTR.Tuning a mk 7R will never feel the same as a GTR.
