Exactly the type of video I was looking for. I’m gonna try this before spending over £100 on a new one

Nice fix! I may need to do this. I can pop the boot with the switch on the door and remote, but the handle itself is unresponsive. Irritating! haha

@@bradautobro do you know a link or anything to that video i cant search your page for that video youtube app wont let me. I installed a head unit in a MK5 golf and it will not open the boot but everything else works fine.. im thinking i pulled the harness and might of damaged a cable but cant for the life of me find a fuse or wire diagram that mentions anything about the boot latch 😩

@ dunno why you can’t see the vid. Does yours have a reverse camera? That’s linked to infotainment maybe you got a problem there.

You got lever , put your seats down and you will see plastic round cover on trunk . Take it off and inside theres lever push it to the right side of the car . It will open trunk

@@Ableee I found it thanks mate. Nothing was working at the back, rear wiper, boot wouldnt open, fog lights, reverse light etc... it was a snapped earth wire in the harness top left inside the rubber boot. Crimped the wires back together, all sorted now.
