On thier Website they said that it will be used for the bike lessons meaning the instructor gets to drive it and maybe for the Autobahn lessons (yes im german, yes we have to drive on the Autobahn in driving school)

U can tel me! “ She comes back out and he says shit, look at that! You’re welcome by the ways boys for the show! Then comments on how huge her ,...eyesssss were , how it was not natural for a girl that young and how they bounced perfectly as she walked to us . Then said something I’ll never forget that makes sick now ; “None of us going to be able to stand up for an hour! “ the other guys laughed and I remember thinking , uh that’s weird for her teacher 4 times her age to say. But Everyone thought he was so cool cause he never did anything in classes and all the girls flirted back and would go lean against his desk all they class flirting. Looking back now I’m so disgusted with him! As a dad of 3 daughters and a 11 year old that every time I take to the pool I have to tell married older men and college guys to stop f&cking staring at my ELEVEN YEAR OLD In a bikini. What the hells wrong with people!? Man I wish he’d been around today to get hammered for that kind of stuff! Guy was a pedaphile and never got causght or in trouble because he jsut passed all the kids , never tested or brought papers or clip boards on our road tests or range, we did 4 of 12 total driving tests and I got an A along with everyone else. He retired after 40 years teaching when Wveryone was sure he was scoring the hottest 15 year olds our age. Disgustingggg!! ! Pete a lot of people don’t understand and under appreciate the Golf R, it’s all forged internals. The kits you can buy for the motor are expensive, but who wouldn’t wanna blow the doors off of a hellcat in a Golf R.. they’re also 4 wheel drive and practical. It’s better the then Subaru Sri and the RS. The motors will blow if you go modifying them..

Pete I prefer pre facelift MK7 GTi performance package. More tossable being lighter. It’s a perfect daily hence I got one. Mines tuned, thicker rear sway bar, PS4 tires and spacers for now. Going with a Is38 turbo soon.

Such an awesome episode! Those 'Syncro' G60 Rallye Golf IIs are just straight sick! I am born, raised and living in Deutschland since 1974, and I've seen just EVERYTHING in european car history. But never ever one of those unbelievable beauties. The Golf II, to me, is just as iconic as the E30, but sadly lacking the rear wheel drive to make it perfect. I started with a '99 Audi A4 1.8T as my first car. Instantly fell in love with the manual transmission, well designed plush leather interior, and oh my the boost!! It kicked off a lifelong love for German sports cars. Fast forward 5 years however and I bought the OG Bugeye '02 WRX. That car was very fun and fast, yet the interior and overall feeling of highly-engineered German craftsmanship was missing. Fast forward another 5 years, the WRX has been stolen and totaled by thieves. In my search for my new car, I always remembered the MK4 Golf R and how aggressive/beautiful they look. I knew I needed a manual and chose VW partly bc my Audi and that they continue to produce new cars w/ standard trans. And so I sent it - got into a 2016 MK7 Golf R with 60k on it. This is hands down the best car I've ever owned. Not only does it have high specs like backup camera, Bluetooth, heated seats and Sirius XM, it is unbelievably quick with its 300 HP 2.0 TSI engine and handles like one would not believe. The Haldex 4motion system is amazing in the snow, arguably better than a WRX even. The acceleration hits intensely while the clutch & gear box feel phenomenal. I absolutely love how aggressive these cars look, the styling of the front grill and curves of the back alongside the beefy quad-tipped exhaust. You could take the wife and kids to go grab groceries or make laps on track day. I could not be happier with my purchase and do not think that I will ever stray away from owning an R as my daily sports commuter. I would recommend this car to anyone and sadly as VW plans to head in the direction of electric vehicles for the GOLF line, get your hands on one before they become extremely rare and expensive!

Great episode! I've owned so many vw's over the years, dating all of the way back to high school. My first car was a 1978 VW Scirocco that I bought for $800 back in 1992. Found out the hard way that the entire bottom was rusted out. My passengers feet would get soaked if I drove through water😂 Sold that and bought my neighbors 1987 VW Scirocco for $3,000 a few months later. Afterwards I went on to own two Golf's, a g60 Corrado, and a 1998 Jetta GLX. Might need to check out the Golf R, and add that to my collection of VW purchases🤔

@@mittdersonne My buddy had one that he and his brother built. They spared no expense down to getting engine internals balanced and blue printed. It was quite impressive. I'm the type of VW enthusiast though that can walk through a car show and find 27 favorites and 34 must haves😆 The mk4 R32 is top on my bucket list though with a mk1 rabbit engine swapped with a VR coming in at a very close second. I had to part out my 86' Cabriolet project that was getting the mk4 VR6 transplant that I bought and I have regretted that decision ever since.

Man my first car was a Golf GL in 2004. I had it for 10 yrs. I remember looking at the brochure they had at the dealership of the R32 and it’s still one of the best looking cars in my opinion. The Jetta GLI was surprisingly sexy as well.

Had a 2012 gti dsg, deer went through my windshield, totaled it. Purchased a 2012 golf R 6 speed manual of course. Don’t get me wrong the dsg is definitely faster… but the manual is so much damn fun. Mine is stage 2 as well so it’s a piss missile making around 363 wheel horses.

I recently picked up a 2016 golf R with full stage 2 kit... Shits the fastest thing on the road while making 26 mpg highway, love the car to death 0-60 in about 3 seconds on a good run 3.5 in average

@@agsmokee86 Oh man...two years on and somebody had to ask the tough question. I'm leaving the R8 out of it, as I was thinking "everyday" cars. So... Hmmmm...I'm older and a child of the 80's, so I have to say the first generation Golf (Rabbit here in the US) GTI because that car was a revelation compared to the usual overweight, underpowered crap that was on our roads in the early 80's. Then the Corrado for it's handling and it's styling. I have to add a full size and It's my Audi entry, so I'm going with the C7 generation S6. I love that car with that twin turbo V8. It's the perfect sleeper. And of course the last one's the hardest because I can think of a bunch more I really like. But I'm going with an even older rare one, the Type 34 Ghia because it's just plain beautiful. Now, my list can change. I may have had others in mind when I wrote the original post, but these are some that pop into my mind right now. I'm sure I can be convinced that others should be on the list, but I wanted to mix it up a bit. :)

This vidja makes me miss one of my favorite daliy drivers I built: my '91 GLI with an AAA 12v VR swap with a 35R strapped to it. C2 quickflow, Schrick cams, ported/ gas flowed head, TT springs, retainers, H.D. rods, JE Pistons, Megasquirt, full 3" turbo back mandrel exhaust, EIP solid engine mounts, type-A's, Corrado brakes, H&R coilovers, Neuspeed sways, Quaife LSD, Autometer sport comp gauges, Eurosport F/R strut bars, Recaro's, Schroth 4 points, 6 point cage, Rallye grille/ headlights etc etc etc. Honestly probably the most fun you could have in a FWD car. Was an AWESOME car for the times especially and I've owned a bunch of VW's. A handful of mk2, Rocco's, mk1 cabby and a B3, all built to varying degrees, some more than others. I took pride in not being scared of CIS like most people were/ are as well LOL.
