I hate to watch a good piece of equipment gets destroyed. You buy a gun to shoot it, not to look at it. With the ammo for that gun being obsolete, I see no problem with it being fully functional, but that's just me. Besides, even drawing a gun makes some people trip nowadays, so my point is mute.

It is a late Kubelwagen type 82 As of March 1943, the car received a revised dashboard and the bigger 1,131 cc engine, taken from the Schwimmwagen.

You can use a Chevy truck coil dummy it doesn't have to be a BMW coil I've done it myself and it works still to this day

Many old cars had those fuse up to the seventies but now they becoming quite difficult to find..

what if you put a 20mm steel plug in that hole and weld it in place. then is is able to fire again (if you remove the barrel plugs of course. I wouldn't recommend to stand on that side of the gun though, just in case the plug comes flying out)

This honestly breaks my heart to see a perfect artillery piece from the motherland get ruined like this. It can no longer do what it was made to do. It’s like neutering or spaying an animal that wanted to have kids. Now the poor gopnik can never again blow up the Ukrainian countryside like it loved to do in its youth. Let us send lots of vodka and love to our poor comrade. Perhaps some day a loving mafia boss of some sort can break this wonderful gun out of its prison and restore its beautiful rightful self.
