I had same problem was missing a bolt for the window rails and one was really loose

i've got a polo match 9n3 from 2009. it's not the same as this tutorial however it is similar and you may be able to help. i can't get the door card back on. the corner cover in the window arch seems to not go back on properly and the side of the panel closest to that arch can't get close enough to the window. any ideas ?

if you have a 5-door Polo, there is an additional T25 torx in the top right corner of the door card.

Which bit do you struggle with? Watch the clips haven’t fallen out of position on the door card, that’s usually an issue.
