Hi there, Thanks for getting in touch! When we fit aftermarket Alpine units we are able to integrate factory reversing cameras, however you do lose the moving guideline function. Since this video was made we have not fitted another RCD 330 into a vehicle. Kind Regards Advanced In-Car Team

Is there anyway to connect aftermarket parking sensors to the RCD 330 Plus? My car doesn't have those and I'm looking to install them as well as looking into multimedia. RCD330 seems perfect for my needs.

@@a1ex161 Apparently it is doable by most part, but it's too expensive. I found a guy on reddit who told me he did that with his Golf. The problem is I would need to buy OEM sensors together with cables (they can be Chinese replicas). But they need to be OEM, you can't just slapstick any sensors you find. Also, you would, depending on the car age, need to replace your CANBUS (a computer of a sort mostly located benath the steering wheel or central console). If I remember correctly, pre 2010 CANBUS models allow/create a power drain if you install RCD multimedia, effectively leaving your battery dead. In order for that whole kit to work, if you have a pre 2010 car, you would also need to buy a newer CANBUS part and replace it. As far as steering wheel commands, some functionalities may be lost.

Think you need to go back to the installer and ask them the question. If it was done properly and installed correctly there should be no issues.

I don't think this unit in particular does, but there are variants of the RCD330 that have Android Auto along with Apple CarPlay, you just have to find the right one. Try looking for the 187E variant if you can or a 187B that has Android Auto firmware installed.

I think you install it on your phone. Your phone apps then appear on the unit when you connect your phone to it. Anyone know if this is correct?

@@rickkyp4065 yes they will, however only apps that are compatible with the carplay. KZbin is not compatible, this is probably due to the safety hazard it can cause to watch videos on a sterio is illegal i think. So they dont make it available. bummer but we have to deal with it

Sirius XM now has an app that you can just stream to with CarPlay. I've found 98% as reliable as the satellite connection.
