Excellent guide. I think two small panhead screws at the right height and distance could be an almost perfect fix for missing retainer tabs on the cabin/pollen filter mounting plate. I managed to break the tip of one off while changing the filter a few years ago in February. I suppose 20 year old plastics in the engine bay, that have become rather brittle, do not like the cold any more than we do. 😂 I always try to do any service work in the warmer months now.

Yes - those engine bay plastics see massive head, extreme cold, oil mist... can't really blame them for giving up the ghost in the end! But I guess we wouldn't have it any other way - all part of the fun of owning a classic! 👍
