Just trying to replace my wing mirror unit & from your footage it looks like there's just 1 brown connnector on the top R, is that right?

Great video. As a different option, with the window down hook a bungie between the door handle and top of the window frame. That way the door card hangs there while you disconnect plugs and clips. No messing with lock and window switch !

Thank you. That can be a very difficult job. I would pop the door handle off first and then work with that

Could spray a wee bit of mr Sheen or a silicone release spray on those clips when you push the card back on. Helpful stuff- cheers!

Great video, but I did try it yesterday on my VW T5 Van, un-hooked the cable as you instructed, but alas, the door would still not open with manual handle from inside. Am I missing something ????

Hey Jamie. To be honest matey there is pros and cons to both and I won’t lie I wanted a tailgate conversion for mine for a very good while. I don’t now as I’m going to stay barns. But I think writing down the full costs and a list of pros and cons and comparing them is a good way to decide. It’s all personal preference but for me I would have to really benefit from paying all that out to swop them over but I just wouldn’t personally.
