Hi Dan, Cool im glad the video gave you the incentive :-) it was a real nice mod to do. I have not upgraded my audio as yet its nearly time! have a couple of bits to sort them I am on it as like you the exterior is now pretty much complete (2 more exterior mod videos to edit) then I am on the interior. :-)

Hi mate, noticed the dynomat logo in this video....have you done any sound deadening in the van? Any tips or products that worked well? I used the (I think it was dynomat) a few years back in my T5 cab and it didn’t make much difference....videos are spot on by the way 👍

jonni mcloughlin hello, that sounds exciting welcome to dub life 🙌. The screen on the top dash was my addition and it’s powered by a switch on the top overhead panel and when powered on it will display the front splitter camera so I don’t wallop a curb and the rear camera which shows me the towbar. Just improves on what the parking aid gives me👍

Nice upgrade Steve, one question about the depth of the glove box. Can you fit an A4 page in both ways? That's the only problem I have with the lower glove box, A4 size doesn't fit.

Thanks buddy. No it would not take a sheet of A4, its only a little deeper than the factory open cubby hole in terms of the depth

Hi Steve, I enjoy watching your videos so thank you for putting them up for us to enjoy. I live in Malvern so also enjoy spotting some of the locations in your footage. I have a quick question for you about this video. I noticed that when you opened the standard lower glove box at 8m 12s, that it opened quite slowly almost like a soft opening device. My T6 glovebox opens and drops like a stone (even with no heavy items inside), so my question is have you modified that yourself to open slowly, or is it just standard?....Cheers Cav

Hi Cav, 🙏glad to hear you like the content ☺️. And will no doubt pass you on the road at some point If you live in Malvern!! I can confirm I have not modified the glove box in that way. It came on my 2018 high-line as factory standard with the slow drop hinge. 👍

Hi John, it does make a difference doesn't it. I always wanted to opt for the comfort dash but mine was already 3 weeks into build when I ordered it and meant missing that option, however this makes things much better. I did get the discover media navigation head unit option so i don't want to lose that but i am planning to upgrade the audio speakers and add in some rear speakers plus a mod this year I am putting a separate media system in the rear for when parked up or camping. Are you thinking about upgrading your head unit then?

Hi, I have this box, but it will not stayed open, always is closing by gravity. It is barel usable when you want something from box. Need to use one hand to keep it open. Did you have similar issue? On video is holding open. How so? thanks for help. Van-x is not replaying to my email.

Hi, Yes mine holds up, I’m a good few years in with this part now and it is still the same. I might notice a little bit of a difference in the tightness in different temps but it does hold up for me👍

James Macdonald mines in perfect condition buddy. I have the Matt finish as it’s like the oem dash and I think that’s a bit more resilient. The piano black may be more prone to scratching perhaps?
