I wish you would've had video of taking the egr cooler out because that's a pain in the trunk! I realized there's no way out without removing the turbo drain/ support piece the hard way! Oye Ve!

FYI for those looking to do this op linked to a 3/8" barb but you need a 3/4" as you can see when he shows the package for the fitting. Best of luck 👍

You can delete with a tune alone (BUT ONLY FOR TRACK OFF ROAD USE) and leave much of this installed. As far as high pressure you really need to remove the whole tube and block at turbo. You can leave EGR valve and block that, or add the race pipe.

Greeting. Does removing or blanking the EGR affect the operation of the particulate filter? Will it clog quickly? I was thinking of doing the same with the EGR as you, but leaving the DPF until it starts causing problems. Passat b7 2.0 TDI 125kw 2012. Thanks for the reply, cheers!

Got a question for you bud , someone has allready done a cooler bypass on my car, left the old coolant line leading to the 2nd pump in at front , its now leaking exhaust and causing boost problems , will that expanding plug sort that out ? Tiguan 2.0tdi cr

I stumbled upon this video trying to figure out what’s leaking on my car, I noticed under your turbo is leaking like a siv, and I thought it was my EGR cooler but after seeing this it making me think my turbo is leaking is it common to leak there? What would be the repair? A new turbo? Or just replacing some lines?

Once the filter is out it’s about the same as far as difficult but without removing the filter I would say completely impossible

Why is a tune needed? I have not found a explanation anywhere why the tune is needed when you delete the egr cooler and block off everything off and run it just fine but have cel lights for off road use only? ​@3guysgarage
