VW Up A Frame Towing

Hardly compliant, given that a A frame and towed car are classed as a trailer and therefore limited to lawfully provide no more than 50% of the braking effect, the A frame also has to have a method to maintain a positive element of steering if becoming detached in motion, and the draw bar element must be manufactured in such away that, it cannot impact with the road if becoming detached in motion. The modification to the front impact bar certainly effects the crash characteristics as the crumple area will now transfer far greater energy further back to the suspension turrets and beyond and will no doubt require re calibration of the airbag deployment values.

It castor steers but the steering lock must be left off.
