Finally it really is Wednesday. Love the wing. I had a little JC Witney wing that bolted in the grill below the rear window. My 1641 would run hot. My dad told me to get that thing off there. I messed around with it tried changing angles. But it just obviously blocked air coming in. My dad must of finally had enough of me messing around and decided to help me mess with the wing. I took the wing blade off and while I was thinking of how I could change things so help with cooling my dad took the wing piece and threw it out in the tree grove. He said there it’s fixed. Engine never overheated again 😮 But I do like the wing you put on 🤓

Indeed it’s finally Wednesday! Luckily I won’t have to worry about airflow to the engine since the rear is cut off like a Baja. Shouldn’t be an issue at all. I can see how on a stock bug it could hinder the flow

I reached out to him in regards to interior door panels and he isn’t taking orders right now due to being so backed up. Worse case, the RLR is a great wing as well.

Maybe 2 thin oil coolers right under the dimple holes? mounted to the body and not the wing? leaves it removable and you don't have to cut anything. or add supports all over?? just a thought. I dig the wing. Ric is super cool he lives here in A.town

That would definitely work but I already have the oil cooler. I do like the idea of mounting it to the body though, could be easy enough with even some aluminum angle and have it bolt to the rear firewall or something 🤔 Have much to think about now, thanks man!

G'day, I like it. But if you gunna hang an oil cooler make sure that hole is cut out spot on and smaller than the cooler so it buts up underneath held in by rivnuts. But doesn't it look cool.

That’s a good call buddy. I was planning on through bolting the cooler on and maybe even using some blue lock tight on the nuts for security.

The notch on the back is part of the main design that clears the drag race parachute. Of course I won’t be drag racing or having a parachute but I could hang the plate there.
