Another excellent vid, thanks Paul. I've been using ground tigers for a while now in my particle mix, if you put it in for cooking it makes a really gooey batch that lets off an amazing cloud when it goes in the water. If i add it after cooking(and it's mostly cooled down) you still get a nice cloud but all the tiny particulates are still there which keeps the fish occupied for ages. I'd seen the peanut granules but not tried them yet in my mix.

Many thanks for the comment. Yes the crushed tigers certainly do add that little something and I think the resultant water/juice is a brill additive to the hemp. I like using a small handful of peanut granules in the hemp mainly because it makes the hemp look like it used to when it was large and slit properly. Tight lines 👊🏻

Now come on Paul, those bobbins need sorting out; the green one should be in the middle lol. Seriously though, it`s good to see you looking good and enjoying your fishing again, great video again as all ways. Stay strong and enjoy.

What a brilliant trip and video you must be really happy. Also you must know my mate Jimmy Evans who’s been fishing there for years.

Many thanks for the comment. Yes it was a nice trip. I’ve met Jimmy a couple times at the Birch and at Guys. He fishes Gaunts a lot. I find it difficult to get on most of the time. It’s always busy but the rewards are good. Jimmy knows what he’s doing on there.

Great blog, as always. Please tell me what meals you take with you. The only reason I ask is I am there for 7 days to celebrate my 65th birthday/retirement and just wondering what you take for your sessions.

Hi Ray, I generally only fish 3 nights at the syndicate but have to be careful what I eat because of the cancers. So I prep boiled potatoe and white cabbage at home (bubble & squeak style) and eat with diced chicken fillet. Can be eaten with gravy or sometimes cream cheese. Alternative is microwave rice which I boil in the bag in a Ridgemonkey and eat with chopped chicken, bacon & mushroom. All chopped and bagged at home and kept in a cool bag. One meal a day. Other than that it’s a few cuppa soups and bananas. Boring I know but works. Sadly gone are the days of a good fry up. Not very helpful I’m sure but have fun

I’m suffering a lot of hook pulls lately. It’s driving me mad. Tried lots of different hook patterns and rigs. Hasn’t made any difference. I’m losing just as many as I’m landing.

It’s a testing time I appreciate. I’m sure a lot of the time it’s mouth damage preventing a good hook hold. Having said that, I only lost one of sixteen in the next video using the Korda Klor on a stiff-ish 4 inch fluorocarbon combo rig. Nothing clever but it seemed to work. I hope things improve for you Terry 👊🏻
