Will forged internals for the Z16let fit in the Z18xer (NonTurbo) both motors look exactly the same, I think the 1.6 heads are slightly shorter. I can't find anything for the z18xer. I'm running Nitrous, custom turbo manifold I welded with a 55mm turbo. I Datalog with trifecta for my tunes but they recommend I don't go over 6 psi but I can't risk getting the wrong parts.

I’ve owned a corsa vxr for 2 months now. It’s 91000 at the min bought it with 88000miles it had full service history 1 owner from new but my god it’s a money pit so far. I’ve just had a clutch and flywheel fitted at garage and on driving it back 15miles from garage I noticed heaters only blowing cold air so popped Bonet at home and engine was red hot no warning signs on dash it has water in header tank but I noticed the radiator pipes was cold the fan was working it seem like there’s no water circulating any ideas of the problem? Also could the problem of been caused by the garage fitting a clutch and flywheel? I’m not a mechanic have very basic knowledge. I payed £2500 for car and it’s cost me £1100 in repairs so far I was just wanting to see if you have a knowledge of my problem before I send it back to garage tomorrow and probably get ripped off again 🙈 I’m running out of money to spend on it. Also I’ve literally only driven it back from garage 15miles but did start it on my drive earlier and it took ages to start with couple of unwanted noises while turning over do you think it’s caused some damage driving it back if water wasn’t right?

It sounds to me there is either a hole in the cooling system (radiator or something) or the coolant system hasnt been bled up properly, this will cause the system to blow cold air & over heat

It needs stripping down and inspecting, if its fine then dont bother but if its looking abit worn then yeah
