Nice video bud! At 3:07 I could be wrong but that looks like a bit of a chip on the rotor blade! If there is a bit of play maybe investigate it a bit more!

There isn't no chip mate but we do want to take the turbo apart and make sure everything is sound

You are wrong with put that Recirc in that way. Look straight ahead on it and notice that is not completely round, right?. That cut place shows it should be directed towards to the engine. GL with that ;)

When you accelerate ahould you get a gushing noise on excellaration starting around 1 and half thousand revs when younpress accelarator coming from right hand side under bonnet driver side

The flutter noise is turbo compressor serge and is bad for your turbo. Some people blank off the recic to make this noise which is fine for people that know how to strip and recondition a turbo but if not you will be replacing turbo's every few years just for a noise "is it worth it ?". If you want noise on decel just plum in a twin piston dv and vent to atmosphere

LOL mine flutters, its an open K&N Cone thats why. I know this cause it never fluttered before i fitted the cone. I like the flutter.

Is it not baypass, its Vacuum receiver It is located under the motor of a square black barrel and two tubes are connected to it it's broken

hi guys!! I am a Spanish boy who has an OPC, and I see that you play a lot with Corsa OPCs... I want to put an oil pressure gauge... and I know that where the original oil pressure sensor is, it is behind the tube that you removed of the turbo... but it is a bit complicated to disassemble... my question is, could it be obtained from another place easier to put a sensor to measure the pressure? or yes or if I have to put an adapter where the original sensor is already? Open throttle compressor surge is usually bad. It means you have too much boost and the engine can't keep up. Usually a sign that the waste gate isn't working properly. Closed throttle compressor surge is fine for most turbos unless running very high PSI.

I have a forge one and i just put it on and put it all back together how it should be. Mine does not make a noise or anything ? Have i done somet wrong

It's not supposed to make a flutter. It only flutters when it not working as it should as its compressor serge and the point of the recirculation valve is to stop the surge on high throttle, you will always get abit on low rev, that's normal. If you want the pssst noise then you need turbosmart adjustable valve and you can vent to atmosphere or just plum in a Collins twin piston dv just b4 your tb and leave in your standard recirc

How do you measure exactly the amount of boost you´re running? My Z20LET - when I was reading the data - I had a peak of 202 kPa (29.2976) BUT when the car is on idle it shows an atmospheric pressure - 97 kpa. Does that mean that my Boost preassure is 202-97 so 105 kPa (15.229)? Thanks guys - Helpful video

Hello No your boost pressure is 29 Youll always have negative pressure on idle as your car isnt actually producing boost yet

the stock recirc valve is defiantly cheap and crap, but always use a quality replacement, Like turbosmart Courtnay approved DV. Any of the cheap eBay DV’s either have springs that are to weak and leak boost or too strong where they don’t function properly. Don’t want them to stick open it would be a royal pain.

Oh and there is a flat spot on the dv that should point towards the turbo inlet :)

Exactly mate we had it for free so we thought we would try it, and cheap proves to not be the best! So we're gonna get a better brand ect and retry :)

Rusty Phat I got overly excited and posted that before watching the end of the video, then I realised you already pretty much explained it! - I have upgraded my dv to the turbosmart one it’s really good! - just changed all my coolant pipes to red silicone too makes it look so much better

You can mate with abit of clipping, but you may aswell just get a facelift bumper with it on buddy

iReappeerr you would yes, the facelift lights can just plug in and they work, but the drl's wont work, you need an adaptor that you just plug between the two that lets u use the drls too

You need to tap into an oil line but ideally you need to tap in the sump i believe, im not sure on the gsi what the layout is as ive not seen it
