ORIGINS: Joel: He came from a rich family, siblings pushing him around, him being the smallest and youngest his mom and dad were very material and prided themselves on being rich. The palace was his way of finally being seen. Joey: Unlike Joel, Joey came from a poor family, his parents set out for an adventure and never returned, he followed the same path, looking for the same treasure they did. He grew up to be very material, wanting anything and everything. But not having their love, he chased it, much like gold. At least he has xornoth now, right? Lizzie and Jimmy: We all know their backstory, but; after Jimmy was born, she knew what she had to do. She took the young codling, wrapped him in bright green kelp and said goodbye. He was placed in the swamp, so he could enjoy land, but still be reminded of the ocean. Lizzie lived thousands of years after, her kingdom started underwater, and emerging upwards as the Seabling Prophecy came into effect. (Lizzie and Jimmy to become closer and reunited) Pearl and Sausage: Both childhood friends, always together. He was the Prince of Mythland, she was the self-proclaimed Princess of the Farms. Gem and Fhwip: They’re twins, both from a long line of Counts and Countesses. Gem is older, but never wanted to take over. This, Count Fhwip is born. Gem went off to study magic, live a simpler life. Just as her childhood love,d she was fascinated eith fairytales and reading. Their parents are long gone now, having died of old age when they were young. He made robot friend, she craved the live her never could have. Shrub: A mere farmer girl of the Gnomelands: she never had much growing up, always one with the nature. She mastered woodcarving to bring forth new friends, and simple potions to bring them to life. She had 2 wolves growing up, they would graze the farms and help with chores. They had 12 puppies and they now live with her in the Undergrove. DONT HAVE ANY PERSONAL ONES FOR SCOTT AND KATHERINE, feel free to fill in!

Scott/Xornoth: Scott was a young prince in the elven land of Rivendell. He grew up with his older brother, xornoth, until xornoth got into the same dark magic that had caused war and carnage decades ago. Consumed by the magic he could not control, xornoth lashed out, killing his parents and cursing Scott to forget he existed. Scott goes on to rule Rivendell, taking a liking to the cold winds of the elven mountains. Little does he know that history always happens again… This is based on my brain filling in the blanks because Scott was kind of all over the place with his lore. Some places he says that he’s not related to xornoth, but their past lives were brothers, and other places he says things like “mum and dad would still be alive if it weren’t for you” and “I wish xornoth had never been corrupted, and we could be back in the castle together like nothing ever happened” implying that they *were* brothers in that life, but then you have the plot hole oof scott not knowing who xornoth was until the magic cave. So this is basically a head canon/fan theory

Aah, this was excellent! And for it to be in full color too really makes it hit harder! I really like how it was a gradual build-up at the beginning, with Jimmy and Fwhip getting along, Scott finding the sword, like it seemed like everything was somewhat okay, but then it all comes crashing down (or caving in you can say haha). Your interpretation for how the ending scenes/deaths went are just heartbreaking, and makes me miss these guys even more. Empires was a ride, and this gets me excited for season 2 even more! This was great!

I know season 2 has started, but I cant help but watch this again. It's too good. Joey with the demon crown and the flashing to him with Xornoth still has me awwwing and clutching my chest. Pearl dying still gives me chills, along with Sausage preforming the sacrifice and Scott's part at the end.

Words can't genuinely express how good this is. All the faces of horror as their empires crash and fall from the fire raining from the sky. A normal ish life and demon free world turned on its head as most run but few take their own path like Scott sacrifice himself and Pearl withering. Your art always blows me away Vyoeh and you've been such an inspiration to me as an artist I can't thank you enough!

Empires is definitely my favorite SMP out of all of the ones I've watched, because of the members and the stories they create, as well as their different build styles and interactions. Of course, all good things must come to an end, and this is just pure perfection. So touching, bittersweet and emotional, and captures the finale of the series flawlessly. Amazing work! This GOT me, like, it got me shaking for like 5 minutes after I watched it. I teared up. This was amazing, VyeOh! It's things like this that makes me wish Empires was an animated series. You exaggerated all of their endings so well, so well that (at least for me), really makes you feel a lot of emotions at once and gets you all emotional.
