She danced at her best. Her costumes in that movie were really fantastic . My brother and I discovered her first in "Amrapali" ... our minds were blown at the grace, superb dancing skills and sheer personality, beauty. We started buying every one of her films at the old Atlantic Video in Richardson, TX. When we got to "The Jewel Thief" with Dev Anand we were overjoyed. Never, ever, tire of watching her.. Her dancing skills are the best we've seen, and her facial expressions are off the charts. Guess you can tell we love her so much, our ultimate favorite. I have always loved and still love Vyjayanthimala Ji. Even though I am a young person, I have a huge passion for old movies and Vyjyanthimala is one of my favorite actresses. The very first movie I saw of her was a movie called Vannjikottai Valiban and I was absolutely mesmerized by her acting and her dance which made join Bharathanatyam classes. After that, I started watching all her movies from her very first movie to her very last. I always loved her pairing with Dilip Kumar Saab. They had a very beautiful and natural chemistry which allowed them to work in 7 hit films. My most favorite movie of Vyjayanthimala Ji is Madhumathi (1958). I found Tabassum Ji in Bahar (1951) very cute and funny. I also liked Tabassum Ji's role in College Girl (1960). I got to see Vyjayanthimala Ji dancing live in 2017 during the festive month of Margazhi in December. Her grace and beauty was magnificent. I can say that I was lucky enough to meet her in her home one day, which was a day I can never forget. Thank you Tabassum Ji for this video. I have been waiting for this video for a long time. Lots of love and admiration from Chennai.🙏🙏

No one can even imagine today- putting oil in hair just before shot!!!! But I have read in old writings and also have heard from the elders that it was a common practice in old times... women used to put oil in hair before dressing up for a function! Never had any idea that even the heroines did this! Thanks Aunty for sharing this thing...
