I love the look of this game and the humourous look of the sprites is lovely.The borrowed and juxtaposed ryu sounds with the purple mario Rario? makes it seem all that bit more entertaining to watch. I think as much work went into the background characters and their expressions as with the fighters.

@purpleblizzard To get the EX versions of characters, hold down the arrow key (or the down direction on a control pad) after selecting a character until the fight starts and you'll be using an EX character. You can practice with 'em in Training Mode. Getting the bosses is a little bit trickier...[cont.]

@Vysethedetermined2 I wouldn't mind seeing a Rurunou Kenshin cosplayer myself. Maybe there's one in the background that I missed, but still. Hmm, I would have liked to see a Vakyrie Profile cosplayer, but there's already a Lenneth cosplayer in the background of a stage. You're right, Sakuya is an awesome Sakura Wars cosplayer, taking moves from all 5 main games and its characters. They could make a Pokemon cosplayer to combat the Digimon cosplayer.

Thee most epic in my opinion is the Pompoko robot driver. Sure she's not that good, but just playing as her is enough to feel the awesomeness of beating people up using a hyper beam.

Once the match starts, quit by pausing the game (usually start on a controller or esc. on a keyboard) and pressing the action buttons at the same time (punch, kick, launch, etc.). Doing this will take you back to the sound warning screen. You may also leave by winning/losing then hitting escape back at the character select screen. When you check your characters, the gates should be unlocked. I don't know of a permanent way to unlock them.

@purpleblizzard It's possible, though I suspect they were put there to even out the slots so it didn't look weird to have empty space on the bottom row. If they do add a few more characters, I wouldn't mind a Hokuto no Ken and Shadow Skill cosplayer. Elle Regu and Gau Ban would be sweet along with Kenshiro.

First, go to your "OPTION/GAME" feature and set the stage (first drop-down) to stage 12, which is "ZM OFFICE". Next, go to versus mode. Set player one as "Erus" (blonde slender chick who represents Hunter x Hunter) and player two to Sakuya (who looks a lot like Sakura, she represents Sakura Taisen). Select them and start a match...[cont.]

I don't have time to argue, so I'll just say this: Fighter Maker and the Enterbrain logo are usually synonymous with doujin games (FM95/FM2nd/etc.), if there are KoF97 sounds in the game, they're from KoF97, not Mugen, and Melty Blood was never free and primarily isn't even Doujin anymore anyway as it has become commercial (along with Fate/stay, though fan projects are still made). That's like comparing MB to Vanguard Princess (which makes MB seem somewhat embarrassing considering VP is free).

I do have a question, how do you unlock most of the hidden bosses? Do you have to beat them, or are there specific conditions that need to be met? Also, how do you pick the EX version of the characters? I'm also surprised by how long and how many updates this game has received over the years. It goes to show that it continues getting better with each update.
