I’m just going to say what every guy who decides to get into this type of wrestling knows at least on a subconscious level: If this type of wrestling is your choice of aspiration, hobby, extracurricular activity, profession, etc., there’s no way in hell that you’re 100% straight. This sport is homoerotic to its core. It’s Ancient Greek origins came about purely as a form of glorified sexual foreplay. The participants were required to be nude. And even in modern times where clothing is required in public, they wear nothing but a tight, form fitting, spandex one piece, the sport involves touching, grabbing, and sticking fingers in very intimate areas of the body, mounting each other, and freely undressing around each other and showering together. Every aspect is purely sensual and exclusively between two males. Which explains why 9 times out of 10, these videos take place in Russia, a country that is hostile towards homosexuality. When you live in a society where your true sexuality is repressed and freely exploring your sexuality is highly stigmatized, you will find whatever “socially acceptable” way possible to get around that stigma and hostility. And this type of wrestling just happens to be the one homoerotic outlet that flies under a homophobic society’s radar for some reason. The sheer popularity of this sport among men in areas of the world that repress homosexuality alone speaks volumes from a psychological standpoint. Especially when stating what I just stated causes extreme aggression and/or defensiveness on the part of men who love this sport and claim to be 100% heterosexual.
