Je n’ai pas oublié non plus cette flamboyante concertante …,Bashmet - Tretiakow♥️ Bashmet- Spivakov …… Bashmet - ÁS Mutter … puis d’autres encore …quel somptueux voyage la concertante et son sublime intime dialogue … alto- violon … l’insondable secret de cette grande histoire d’amour ! Les inoubliables graves de Bashmet … puis ce feu d’artifice qu’est ce dernier mouvement où chacun se mesure le moment venu…(❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥) Merci merci à vous deux … merci à ce bijou d’orchestre que tu as façonné à ton image et qui a eu tant de bonheur à te suivre, même si tout n’était pas toujours facile , mais la fascination l’a emporté 🤩😍. Musically this is the best performance of the Sinfonia Concertante on KZbin and unlike many performances the two soloists interact with each other instead of just playing side by side. Unfortunately the KZbin channel flashes distracting SUBSCRIBE banners every couple of minutes, a self-defeating strategy which makes viewers less likely to watch a channel that interferes with the music.

For example in the first movement cadenza beginning around 11:00 they often make eye contact the way chamber music musicians do, and around 12:20 Vengerov even smiles at Bashmet. Unfortunately the camera doesn't often show them in the same picture. In some performances the soloists play side by side with no acknowledgement of the other. 3:52 ... the "power" note that Bashmet ends on is what made me switch from violin to viola when I was 12 yrs old. Just knowing that a viola could produce such a deep note... that's what got me :)

That’s the b-flat on the g-string. Quite often it’s the loudest note on a viola, as it corresponds with the resonance of the air volume in the instrument. The art of creating a good sound on a viola is trying to get the other notes sound as well as that b-flat..

@@k_b7341 Yes, I'm a luthier and focus on violas. I've studied a lot more on violas than I have violins. It seems that Bb on the G-string *does* ring out the most, naturally. Also, the D played in third position on the G-string of the violin as well as when it's played up the octave on the A-string is a very common power note on a violin (Strad model, Del Gesu, Amati or whatever!). It really is interesting. I'm currently working on a tenor viola and the front and back plates both ring out in Ab when you tap the nodes ... so this will be interesting. I also had to order special strings from Thomastik-Infeld.... which are a good 6 inches longer!

Great combination of 2 very different players - Vengerov's light sweetness and Bashmet's darker sonorities make for a very interesting and engaging dialogue, far more depth and range than usually associated with this music . Seems to sound like a foreshadowing of Beethoven and beyond. Thanks for uploading!

É uma obra gigantesca. Escrita por um jovem de 23 anos. Muito densa para a juventude de Mozart e que surpreende pela dramaticidade. Vai demorar alguns anos para ele compor peças à altura da K364. Os dois solistas são impecáveis. Qual orquestra está tocando?

The difference from most other versions is the viola which were usually overpowered by the violin, but Bashmet won't let that happens.
