Great to see this old clip. I first toured with W.C. as his drummer on his 1995 tour in support of his Heart Of Gold album, which he recorded with Double Trouble for the Black Top Records label out of New Orleans. Thanks for posting it.

Can you give a little information on the inspiration for this song. Also is that the same double trouble that played with Stevie Ray Vaughn? One last thing, has anyone else covered this song as a tribute to W.C.

I have only recently discovered this guy but he should have been as big as Robert Cray and Buddy Guy, lovely soul tinged singer, fine songwriter and awesome guitarist- the way he transcends from a chord to a single note solo is brilliant!

Thanks for the post. I first saw WC on an episode of one of the TNN shows along with The Fabulous Thunderbirds and some other Austinians. What great underheard music.

Definitely a master of vocals. I'm sure the comparison has been made before, but if not, I will, Cee-lo from the defunct group Gnarles Barkley share some similarities vocal-wise.
