坦白講， 老師的工作評級，某程度上都係由學生的公開考試成績展現出嚟，你做老師，一班幾十個學生，你唔將叻嗰啲學生拉埋一邊谷行去，佢哋點樣考好成績，撈埋同一班 日日happy life 嘅學生一齊，點樣考好成績， 再有天份的學生，都要努力俾心機讀書先至會有好成績 話嚟到英國 唔使做功課唔使讀書嘅家長，第日唔好怨個細路點解做唔到理想職業 或者冇選擇。

I feel sorry for you that after all these years, emotionally, mentally, you only Strived. And you probably did reasonably well in striving, achieved some monetary stability. U did not THRIVE. Someone who had truly been empowered and thriving will embrace traveling globally with same anticipation & joy; not having to feel joyful traveling inside China. It’s rare to see 岐視now for those who are thriving in their adopted country. U must have experienced some bad scarring from racism, and didn’t deal with it leveraging on government channels, non profit civil liberties organizations. They are paid to help u to solve those problems in your community. Be empowered.

校內當然有成績來分學生程度來分班教學。想學的一班，想happy 的一班。入大學一點也不難，想入頂尖的也不太難，因本地頂尖學生並不是所有也想入這𩓙大學，一切在乎他們自己喜好，而父母對他們選學選科也必支持。好大學畢業並不代表前途一帆風順，一般大學也並不一定無前途，因一般工作並不注重甚麼學校和學科。近年，很多好A Levels成績的也會不讀大學，因可免畢業後一身債，反而入大公司做apprenticeship, 一樣可以做律師、會計師、工程師等。

黎左英國三年，讀書教學模式，老師鼓勵令我女開左大掛，上年GCSE 8科8/9（A/A*), 下年AL, 而家初步五科mock預估5A*, 佢target考入牛劍/G5, 成唔成功都好，起碼會爭取嘗試，態度係好緊要，三年多前仲記得佢係香港讀書好唔開心，成績－般，點諗到三年幾後有咁大改變

American school is the same, from 2nd grade, the kids are required to read chapter books. My daughter's school the kids are separated by reading level from kindergarten. I was so stressed by the time my daughter was in kindergarten that she was still have difficulty to keep up the grade reading level. I bought her a lot of supplemental reading material.

Private day school starts at £20k for junior and goes up to £35k for senior. You can add £10k to £15k for boarding. Another 5k extra curriculum activities. I have said this for many years, HK students are good at repetition which is their way of learning and they tend to do well comparing with their British counterparts until the age of 13 to 16. However after that age, the difference starts to show as the learning process and depth of knowledge get more complicated, requiring probable understanding and a methodological approach to deal with the problems which HK students lack. That becomes even more apparent when they get to higher education at both undergraduate and post graduate level, especially on research work. In other words, HK students are not trained and brought up to think intelligently and independently. Also the western higher education system focus more on evidence and result as the oriental system tends to emphasize more on obedience and loyalty (more political) to their senior staff at the expenses of independent thinking. That is why most of the top scientists in the world are western trained researchers and scholars !

In respond to grouping in classroom, could be because some children will get bored if too easy or they had the experience already. Others who have not, would struggled in learning and feel lost. The targets for each child and their skills are different, doesn't mean they will stay in same group in all subjects, so each of them will achieved to their full potentials and learn their skills accordingly to their interest.

我比較喜歡🇫🇮教育制度政策，一個不能少！ 冇精英階級制，每個人有自己嘅進度，芬蘭教育初小已經學習英語、瑞典語、芬蘭語！ 到初中可以按自己嘅興趣同分數選擇高中或職訓學校！再會職訓高中，也有機會入讀專科大學！而且公民係可以享有免費讀大學學位到博士生！

There was a national movement to improve the reading skill and comprehension at British schools 15 to 20 years ago. That training starts at reception classes for the 4 to 5 years old. Students are expected to be able to read and write fluently by the time when they leave senior schools. Obviously in reality, that is not always achievable, especially in some of the deprived state schools which lack resources. In the US, it goes one step further, classes often provide opportunity for public speaking and debates. Margaret will do well here - just let her develop her own interest and passion in due time and learn to be competitive and self reliance !

移民為了孩子，真的很多幼稚的香港人，以為到了英國放孩子在公立學校，不用做功課，就是成功，不知道他們是在低層，上層的人，爭取入名校，私校，爭取校外課程增值，我的孫爭取入了名校，而大部分同期移民的朋友，放棄爭取。

❤ this topic. Most Asian couldn't understand education of UK, Australia, USA n some Europe countries. My daughter started her education at age 6 when we migrated to Australia. I couldn't afforded sent her to private school. Lucky she worked very hard went into a good university at Melbourne. Now she send her 6 n 4 years old children to private school. She told me her own experience the difference between government n private school. 💰💰 well spent 👍

同香港的國際學校一樣，我小朋友由細到大已經有10幾種能力要掌握，同一班來不是以成績去分，是以能力去分，每星期大約限量本書，好多人覺得，國際學校是happy School，主要是我們家長有好多課外活動給他們去學習，你想吓香港國際，他們是自己的學生有70%，可以入讀美國長青藤大學，如果不努力，如何入去？所以全世界的父母，都一樣，只不過是傳統學校只係發展嗰幾年科目，而國際學校就係不斷的讀，唔同的書，發展全方位的能力。同外國的教育一樣。

Y9 開始功課已經多啦 放學一般要上網交assessments! Y10-11分配好學生嘅能力 high tier/foundation 亦所謂too set and low set 所以Y10 下學期家長面見都會為自己小朋友爭取top set ember/purple/green/red 的成績。 Y12-13就非常之忙 準備Alevel, predicted grade/PB 已經定左你去G5 或者 10-30 嘅學校排名 當然intake interview 亦非常重要❗️總之 並非唔駛讀書架

相比英国的公立学校，我觉得马来西亚的国际学校更理想，曾经在英国生活20多年，太太仔女都是当地土生土长的公民，但他们更享受马来西亚的生活，将来孩子会去香港读大学同发展，目前我们从未想过回去英国，眼看很多香港人盲目崇拜西方移民英国，我们心里是发笑的，因为我和太太都预测他们很快会回流亚洲，但愿这些醒悟过来的香港人会看清楚事实，中国才是未来。不过英国的小学和环境真的非常适合小朋友，到处都有图书馆，孩子可以完全避免使用iPad和手机，可以养成看书的好习惯，但中学开始就不大行了。
