Right books? Korean War is as controversial as invasion to Iraq ... no one has a "right answer" yet. Hollywood has made many movies about wars, I & II world wars, Vietnam war etc, but never a movie on Korean War, why? There is a former CIA executive writes a book on Korean War that gives away some quite insightful surprising inside stories, worth reading.

I learned from history that North Korea invaded south. But my point is this: do right things for a wrong reason, or have the right reason but do it with a wrong method? It doesn't get you the right result either way. I hate communist, I love a lots of things about America. But it doesn't mean I am emotionally confused when it comes to what I should value.
