I realized the symbols in the haori I bought from Harajuku were family crests, and I've been trying to research out of respect and curiosity on what their meaning is. So far I've managed to figure out that the symbol is 抱き茗荷, or "dakimyouga" as it's written in romaji. I can't find good sources about it in English though, and my Japanese level isn't yet high enough to understand most of what's being said here, but I won't give up until I know more about the family history of this haori. そんあ難しい日本語がまだわかりません。。。でもがんばります!
