I just visited China in August from Beijing to Shanghai to Shenzhen, took high speed train twice. all they said were true. Very proud of what China has accomplished in 20 years.
As a Chinese traveler, I think: Japan has clean toilets anywhere but China doesn't. Even public toilets are extremely clean and spotless in Japan. Japan has less scammers than in China. Japan has the highest standards of hygiene. 98% of Japanese are educated and polite people. Streets in Japan are mostly cleaner than streets in China. At least, nobody would spit and littering on floor in Japan.

My partner and I visited both countries. My expectation of Japan was so high and I was so disappointed. We are very impressed with China. The living standard of Japan is no March of China.

China is a vast country with many countries of different landscapes, climate and cultures and history. China is made small because of easy access through the world largest and most intensive network of public transports especially high speed rails. China is both a developed and developing country. China has 56 ethnic groups with each retaining its respective customs and language. Yet it has Mandarin Chinese as the only one common language both written and spoken throughout the entire country. People of China enjoy a high standard of living relative to their income because cost of living, public facilities and conveniences are most affordable in the world. A visit to China is more than a combination of visit to different geographical regions of the world. Long live China!

Not everyone who visits China really see China. The seeing is believing analogy doesn't always work for people who have been brainwashed to have deep-seated prejudice towards China. Example, the travel vlogger @wheres.michael (the partner of travel vlogger Josie lifts things). I posted a comment that he didn't like so we began arguing about Western propaganda and imperialism, in those back and forth arguments, he finally showed his views about China. Here's some of his appalling replies, "The rest of the China vloggers might be too dumb to see it but I see exactly what you little bot boys do. Get a life. I can pick you from a mile away. Every single argument is the same - same keywords, same lines, same shit. China is a good country that is serving its people well and growing quickly - also deeply flawed and has immense social problems, like a lack of humanity or care for others. Not to mention wanting to be a developed country but having no animal rights laws? You can abuse animals in China - even domesticated ones - and it’s legal! How barbaric. Fuck outta here. Waste of space bot boy. I’m going to censor you so you can’t comment. I’m sure you’re more than ok with suppression of speech." This is how prejudiced, ignorant, and little he thinks of China and its governance system. And yet, he shamelessly uses the China travel popularity for clicks on his YT channel. It just goes to show that some people are so brainwashed that there's no way to wake them up. Chinese are too kind and naive to treat these foreigners like real friends when these people are just greedy and selfish opportunists who deep-down have no respect and even despised China. China deserves better!
Sister, the emergence of this type of video screen shows that many foreigners have loud echoes in their heads, which are very empty and have fallen away from the ideal editability.
China's land area and population are larger and more numerous than Japan. China is more tolerant and has a lot of geological diversity. Therefore, the scenery and humanities that we can see and appreciate are naturally rich. As China's economic development continues to improve, the gap between Japan and China will become wider and wider.
