During Crimzon’s performance, the camera cut to the second stage several times, and every mentor had open-mouth smile on her/his face and the eyes sticked to the monitors. It says all. The mentor 奕寬 pointed it out that it’s hard for others to imitate Crimzon’s style. He also acknowledged that the choreography of “Boom Box” is really difficult (emphasized several times), even stated he respected them. He commented that Crimzon danced uniformly enough but still showed each member’s distinct personal style. Those really are high praises. Just personal opinion, Crimzon and babyMint are the artist type in this competition. Crimzon’s work is the one I anticipate the most at each round and they never disappoint. Every time, they kept surprise me with interesting creative work. (Sizi’s reaction at backstage shows how close-knit this group is, another likeable factor.) Hope they will catch international audience’s interest soon. BabyMint’s work has not been as steady as Crimzon yet. But they are still very young and have time to mature, even taking more risks. I thought Purple Crush could be another artist group during the first two episodes. But maybe their lyrics are too artsy and choreography too dance crew for me. I suppose “Be Born” will remain my favour work from Purple Crush.
