That's kind of neat to see the old DTI plate on that one since the DTI was pretty much done in 1983 when it was bought out

I live in Trenton one of the neighboring towns to Wyandotte and I thought it was really cool how there are more rail fans around here like me,

That building on the left was originally a Firestone plant. The pollution they created led to the Trenton channel behind it being the most contaminated waters of the great lakes. That hill by the boat ramp was created to buffer the contamination at ground level. It's projected to take 100 years to cool down.

Interesting! Say, haven't I seen you in one of my video's comments sections? I'm friends with G.C.R. Productions, and wanted to look at this video in particular for any information I could find about the MPI plant. I filmed a train going inside on August 4th, 2023, a Friday evening, and have plans to narrate over it to make a sort of documentary about everything. If you know anything more, please tell me everything you know!

@@josephtrainonthetrack I might’ve commented on one of your videos about the Harrison Rd., Crossing in Trenton. I don’t know anything about what goes on inside of the old fire stone facility. The owners of the ambassador bridge have purchased much of the land and infrastructure around that building and anticipating the old McClouth steel site becoming a deep water shipping port

@@johncooper7663 Gotcha. Thanks for the info, Mr. Cooper! 'Tis much appreciated.

The construction has been well underway (you can’t even travel south on this portion of Jefferson currently) and the old track at the first set of signals was visible about a week ago when they tore the road up. It could be gone now. The track was just paved over and not removed

Believe it or not i’ve never caught a train on that NS spur to BASF over Jefferson(technically called Biddle there). Hoping one day it will happen but its pretty rare to catch. I’ve only seen pictures
@tylernrogers2 жыл бұрын
Interesting, the southerly one (used by GTW) was getting traffic relatively recently unless Materials Processing closed. The northerly one (used by Conrail) had been inactive for some time before the rails were pulled up.

I don't think Railroad Crossing #1 is going to get taken down and replaced. Because the lights are being covered up. I don't know about Railroad Crossing #2, but I gotta feeling that they're going to keep #1. But hey! I could be wrong.

They say Railroad Crossing #1 are most likely get replaced like #2. I just heard it. Again! I could be wrong.

They use to ship axles gas tanks and other things They lost both contracts so they no longer need railroad tracks to go inside the building and no longer load rail cars
@damon810railfan Жыл бұрын
yeah, but apparently CN Flat Rock is now serving this place again, oddly enough (on the double tracked section only though, oddly enough. Maybe they'll bring back the other track too). Guess materials processing just decided to accept rail service again And plus, they took out the signals just recently, and they're putting new ones up
@josephtrainonthetrack3 ай бұрын
Is there anything more you know about this place? I read in an online article for the News Harold that it served for Firestone Steel Products Inc. during its tenure. I'm making a sort of mini documentary about the place. If you see this, please reply as soon as you're able to. Thank you!

Owensri2 did catch this Crossing malfunction
@videolover20142 жыл бұрын
It wasn’t a malfunction though. A Train was derailed at the Railroad Crossing & with the Train derailed at the Railroad Crossing, the Signals are activated until the Train is away from the Railroad Crossing for it to deactivate.
