It's about us!
Thank you for your support☺️! 未答問題先戴頭盔🪖以下答案我哋都係靠估:Flatmate應該就係要share flat, 要共用廚房廁所(不過如果租套房就會有埋自己廁所),For rent 可能係成個單位出租,所以盤源會唔一樣😉

I am a Kiwi myself but fled to Australia decades ago as there were plenty more opportunity for my career. The cost of living in Auckland is so much higher than Sydney including grocery, petrol... etc whereas the pay in Sydney is higher than Auckland. Now I am living in a standalone house in Sydney 10 km from cbd growing my favourate fruit and vegetable in my garden in the backyard. I am cooking at home 99.999% of time and I drive to work everyday. I only take the public transport into cbd maybe less than 10 times a year. I am not quite sure what you are talking about Sydney life style is very similar to HK !!!

Hi! Seems I’m on the same path as yours to NZ. I’ll come to Auckland on early June to look for job for the skill migrant application. I’ll be nice if you would share your experience with me.

Wow.. good luck! Lots of changes to NZ immigration policy these days .. seemingly it’d become harder and harder.. but keep your faith! Surely we are happy to share more.. what do you want to know?

@@runninglogung Thanks for your kindness. I come to NZ as a traveller (with HKSAR passport) to look for jobs as advised by my immigration consultant. Would that be allowed in NZ. Would it be easy for job application as a traveller?
@runninglogung2 жыл бұрын
@@patricktso5307 hmm.. we’re not immigration agent so couldn’t give immigration advice here (just wonder if we use the same consultant company as our agent gave similar advice?😆) we could just say employers generally wouldn’t be keen on hiring people with visitor visa.. unless you have really special skills they need.. but we’ve seen successful cases, both outside Auckland.. so still worth to give it a try! As said immigration policies seem to have been tightened.. definitely not an easy path.. anyway good luck!! Share with us if you have good news! Will be really happy for you!!

I’m wondering the same as you 😂. Well, as you’ve said, just treat as a long vacation in NZ. There is better chance to find job when you are physically there than from online, which I’ve tried for months. It’s nice to know someone also from Hong Kong.

I am a HKer and my wife is kiwi who has been in HK for 25 years. We have two girls and they were all born in HK. Now we plan to move to NZ to live next summer. Got a very mixed feeling though as what you said the two places are two different living style. Given my previous experience living in the US, it is not good to compare things there based on the HK standard. HK is just a comfort zone to many of us.
@runninglogung Жыл бұрын
Yes.. it’s not fair to compare the two as nz is selling “untouched” & hk was an international finance centre.. Auckland is developing fast too, maybe quite different from 5 or 10 years ago, yet many things are not catching up at the same pace.. anyway there’s no perfect place, just gonna live with the options available.
Was study three years but how can you get the visa or residence permit to stay there ?

@@runninglogung Of course, but your experience in Sydney is nothing like what it is like in Melbourne or Brisbane. You have formed the wrong impressions of Australia with just your experiences in Sydney. It’s like forming an opinion on Hong Kong just by looking at Central and nowhere else.

I agree. I wonder why Hong Kongers who claimed to seek refuge from a authoritarian socialist government would want to move to another authoritarian socialist where many New Zealanders already see through it and run. Ironically they will find themselves running into more mainlanders than Hong Kong, which I suspect it’s the reason they leave Hong Kong, only difference, these mainlanders will be much wealthier than them.
