Normally, I detest these "she has to be thin and beautiful to be worthy of the ML's favor" sort of story lines. But the ML in this respected her talents and found her interesting even while she was fat. She stayed fat for such a short time that they didn't really get to explore that. It gets revealed pretty quickly that the ML initially disliked his wife and his two children for his OWN reasons, not because he was partial to the FL's trash sister. Anyway, they end up getting along and naturally move towards greater intimacy and a happy ending. Aside: The ML's eyes are GLORIOUS. Aside II: BOTH the ML's mothers are bat sh*t crazy. The fake one is just RAVING mad. The bio one killed a bunch of her own subjects as part of some elaborate conspiracy and feels ZERO remorse and receives ZERO punishment. Although, I guess her son not wanting to stay around her is a kind of punishment.

This was a decent Watch 😊. The FL who was on the plus size had mad acting Skills, I wish to see her in future projects, the other FL was also impressive, the communication with the kids and ML was on Point, in general everyone acted their Parts well. They kinda slept through the script because they forgot in ancient Times kids didn't call their fathers "daddy" but "Fùqīn" 😂😂😂. The end ended in a sort of Cliffhanger since we'll never know if the other Prince will turn nasty and didn't really see what happened to FLs dad and sister. Cheers mates 🤗

Not a bad drama, they did a pretty decent job of making this more original and different from the other dramas out there. I like that the kids were in it the entire time and actually were important. I do wish the ending was more complete, it left some unanswered issues hanging around -- there is a lot available for a Part 2.

I love ML’s mouth, the little angle his lip goes down. It is adorable. I always get excited when I see him because he can portray a man who enjoys his partner, laughs, protects, smiles. Really sweet. This was a very good FL, and her character was written well so that she didn’t come off as a snot or a total money grabber. The kids were so cute, and good. I would have enjoyed more use of her ring.

This is a great and somewhat different version of the “Modern day doctor transmigrates into ancient times”-story with really good actors (the children too) and a storyline that’s interesting. We do get some of the usual tropes but it’s kept lighthearted and non-abusive. I liked the moneygrubbing/sweet/clever FL and the calm/supportive ML. Definitely well worth watching. SYNOPSIS - SPOILER ALERT!!! FL is a modern day doctor. One day she finds her fiancé cheating on her with her cousin in the lab. Their “activity” had pushed over some fluids and they ended up blowing up the lab with the three of them in it. But instead of dying, FL transmigrates into ancient times with the help of her engagement ring that was present in the lab. When she wakes up, she realizes that she is now in the body of an unfavored and obese Princess with two small equally unfavored children - and she is being whipped and mistreated by unruly servants of her husband (2ML), the 3rd Prince’s Palace. She receives the body’s original owner’s memories of how she was threatened and framed by an evil woman (2FL) who wants to take her position as the Princess, ultimately leading for her to be confined. FL quickly decides to avenge this pitiful woman, starting by dealing with the servants. But then her husband and 2FL arrive. With her eloquence, FL manages to have him deal with the servants instead, but also creates a chance to change her fate, since ML turns out to be poisoned. After offering to treat him, she finds out that her whole lab seems to have transmigrated with her and resides in her engagement ring, making it possible for her to conjure the things she needs. Soon, FL is entangled with this annoying husband of hers while trying to lose weight. Well, not spoiling too much, this has a happy ending - although one scene towards the end suggests that the story could continue if the writers decide to.

Thank you very much, that's helpful...I'll have a look at it. I don't like nasty murder scenes where everyone vomits blood or a bad ending. Often movies are also very unbelievable if you have medical knowledge. I also love learning about other cultures through movies (you have to translate it into reality)

@@wurzelfix Well, to tell you the truth, not much in these C-productions follow logic or scientific knowledge. Otherwise, I would love to know exactly how she lost half her body weight in only a month, and even without ending up looking like an empty bag of potatoes 😆 So, I took off those glasses a long time ago and now I just sit back and let myself be entertained. Either I like the story or not. And along the way, I get a glimpse into a culture and language that is so far from my own, that it has me in awes at times. Happy viewing 🤩

@@PSWe1969You're right, of course: no actual medical knowledge is taken into account in these files. You are also right in the sense that these are "fairy tales for adults". You can recover after a hard day's work... At the same time, I would like to express the following: I was a language teacher for foreign children with difficulties and for traumatized children. That means I can read between the lines, I can "look behind the veil" I have learned to "read" gestures. And that's where you can learn a lot about another culture. Maybe some movies are even a bit silly, but they reveal a lot to me.

@@wurzelfix I get what you mean. I won't call myself anywhere near an expert, but I do the same. Body language sometimes tells more than words. I am from a country where languages are important to know, so I read/write, speak and/or understand Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, English, German and Russian - to various degrees. So, when I began watching Asian shows, I started with watching the reactions of the characters to certain words/sentences (due to bad or missing subs). One thing that stood out was the difficulty in translating Chinese due to the lack of important pronouns, the many homonyms and the somewhat complicated but intriguing idioms. That was quite an eye-opener and a fun way of learning.

@@PSWe1969 Yes, I agree with that. I used to tutor Latin, English, French and German... The most interesting thing for me are Chinese "behind the scenes". That's what you get from all the stars. They laugh a lot, often out of embarrassment. I couldn't imagine an American actor holding a fan in front of his face and "retreating into his little house like a snail" at the mention of a kissing scene. I feel really sorry for some of these guys. I used to have a stage, I've also been filmed for TV once (as a patient in a hospital) - I know how things are changed. Filming has little to do with the result. Just as an example. Sometimes in the movies they just "do gymnastics", it's not real - and suddenly you see how a little thing is real, such as the guy flinching away from the lady's kiss - whoosh!. Or you see someone being insulted "a useless person" (etc etc)...you can see from this: what values do you think are important in this culture? Or sometimes you see the special and respectfull treatment of older people, especially old women. Or there are archaeological excavations of warrior queens with a fearsome arsenal of weapons - I could never really imagine what that was like in reality... Now I can I could go on and on.

Childhood trauma is a tragedy that can eat people up into their old age. Some psychologists call it childhood post traumatic stress disorder. Some people never heal, or it manifests in different ways. In this case, his neglect (ignoring) his kids was the best thing he could have done. Imagine if he had done anything close to what his fake mum did to him to his kids ( abused kids go on to abuse their kids in most cases). Another point thats brushed past quickly, he really was in that depressive state until she made him want to change. Irl maybe that the therapist or finding meaning in life😂some people find love/family can help too
