At first my thought was “ that’s it! Where’s the rest?” But the more I thought about it. The end was perfect. I love the idea that she didn’t need to lead a happy and fulfilling life with marrying another man. Her end goal was to live how she wanted and that was enough for her.

Yes, and the Emperor was still waiting for her to come back and marry him. He let her be free to achieve her own goals. The ex-husband betrayed and then humiliated her but she was more noble and dignified than him. I just hoped that the female general won’t try to kill her on the battlefield.

The heroine followed her own goals courageously. This was never about revenge but trustworthiness and dignity. Her husband was disloyal and weak so she arranged her own affairs with the Emperor’s help. She was dignified, smart and courageous. A great FL.

One of the best versions of this plot with an excellent FL who has the true embodiment of nobility; dignified and composed demeanor; and a general's strength and decisiveness! The costumes are soooo beautiful and the acting is great!!! I wish there was a part 2 where we see her battles and revenge for her family! Then return to the palace in victory and become queen!!! ❤❤❤

Her happiness does not depend on revenge it depends on achieving her goals Never did the FL state she wanted revenge. Her being revealed as the 1st rank general then having complete power was more of a victory plus it humbled both of the two antagonists, neither of them where her equal was revealed at the end. Sometimes a mental blow is more hurtful then anything else...She won and had revenge just not what many would think of as revenge. She achieved her goals what could be better?

看過類似劇情，就這劇本最爛，女主媽自縊，是指女主是個不孝之人？才會讓其母自戕。既然其母不欲女主上戰場，卻許其女嫁將軍？不怕其女守寡？合邏輯嗎？拿到合離書還不快離開，繼續待著等人休妻，這女主也是奇葩腦，還是馬秋元演的版本好看，不會拖泥帶水，遠離渣男美又颯。

A nice drama to watch, no physical harm to get the royal ordered divorce paper. The supportive emperor brought also the floral sweetness of his love. Thanks to the director and scriptwriter to give another development of the similar scripts. This one is nicer to watch because the lengths of arguments are comparatively shorter than other drama. Actors all giving nice works. Love the characteristics of FL who really want to fight against the opponent army, giving citizens peaceful life, and maintain her family wishes. Both FL and the emperor have very positive values. ML has a more positive characteristics in this drama - he was blinded by the love he had in the army to forgot about what he promised 3 years ago. He is rather a fool than a scumbag, he did not physically harm FL if my memory is correct, all slaps were done by females. No choking at all🎉🎉🎉. ML was following the directions given by his family members and his new wife. He did not want the dowry of FL but had to. He did regret on not keeping his promise to the mother of FL, but he believed his love with a person who is fighting together with him rather than a beauty who can stay at home. So the guilt that living with him for the rest of his life is missing the most powerful fighting partner. However, he is not strong or smart enough to fight along her side.

lol well if you want to know what happens after, this story has the same plot as another one. basically the 3rd wheel killed enemy civilian, tortured their prince and forced them to sign a peace treaty which is why they retaliated killing yunxi's whole family thinking it was her dad and brothers idea, the other woman gets captured, tortured. the general finds out about the things she did. yunxi comes back victorious and marries the king.
