First I have to sat that this FL is one of my very favourites. Her comic acting is so fun! Even though the show she was in a bit ago--where she had a cancer diagnosis and decided to let her feelings fly--was a comedy, it was a good preview of her ability to play drama. She did so awesome in this! I'd like to see her in more dramas but maybe pretty please with some actual power if you're going to make her have the family-related power of a phoenix. Because, unfortunately, despite having the inheritance of a phoenix, the whole show was just talking and talking and more talking. Good talking---like it had good outcomes and stuff, but still. Why didn't her power come into play ever again after it healed her face? She could at least have gotten to zap someone lol The enunciation was especially awesome as you could hear (once the over-the-top sound effects stopped) the breaths and hard consonants of the primary actors, giving words a crisp strength! This allowed the actors to show anger with controlled speech, not just being louder. The sound got better later on. I had written this earlier on: Stopping to make a note at 40 min in. This is great so far but it is practically being ruined by the sound effects. They are painful and interrupting everything. Don’t watch this if you have a headache. Wait until you’re feeling better. This is way way too heavy on the drum set sound effects-too often and too loud. Too loud on its own, and too loud in comparison to the dialogue.

They literally spend an hr in the banquet hall arguing over he identity then the rest of the drama is a stupid fake marriage, mistaken identity drama where both parties keep trying to prove they are really rich and powerful. Which is an even worse trope than the pretending to be poor ones. They have the resources to investigate their new spouse, instead they’d rather believe they are lying. Make matters worse she’s allows herself to be bullied AGAIN and again by someone pretending to be her. The drama has almost every element that I DESPISE.

It's amazing how all of these fancy events only rely on a stupid Inventation to get in. They don't have a guest and staff to verify your identity. I go to a LOT of events every yr and they ALL have a staff with a guest list, you show your ID and that's it.
