So, here's my story. I was bored during the long holiday in April 2024. I read someone recommended on Twitter a C-drama called Nirvana In Fire. I was clueless about C-drama. So, I started watching NIF and was like: "Wait a minute. Who's this guy playing the abandoned prince? He got great voice and dashing acting. What's his name?" And the rest is history. I ended up watching his other dramas including Like A Flowing River. I then read he lost weight to portray Song Yunhui and I got why he kinda looked different from his dramas before LAFR. Gotta applaud his dedication for this role. As I said, I'm new to C-drama but it's safe to say he's my most fave Chinese actor. Waiting for what kind of role he'll play after LAFR.

I loved this series, it was very moving and he had to work a lot for it, it was totally unfair that the actress who played his sister had an important award and he didn't. I saw some episodes of the series of the actor who won All is well and yes he is fine, but I think Wang Kai deserved it more, the actress who played his sister seems good to me too, I love her in Nothing but thirty , but I think that in Like a flowing river, Wang Kai deserved it more.I hope that in the coming years he achieves the best , for many reasons he deserves it ❤

He's totally the right one to play Song Yunhui. I also love his acting as Emperor Renzong. I wish he got more Best Actor award for these two roles as he's really outstanding. I kinda regret to get to know his existence just this year.

Like a Flowing River is a good good drama. I really like this drama and all casts, all crews. All casts, scriptwriter, director are very good and very grateful... Especially, Wang Kai as Song Yun Hui and Yang Shao as Lei Dong Bao are very good and outstanding performance. I started a biggest fan of Wang Kai after watching Like a Flowing River. I really like Wang Kai as Song Yun Hui. I always support Wang Kai from Myanmar. 💞💞

Like a Flowing River is one of the best dramas I have watched that gives the viewers a real perspective of some important core culture and values of the Chinese in China…rich in its contents on Chinese culture, values , traditions, family and work cultures, ethics beliefs and the economic reforms that took place in China from 1978 to 1992. They have an excellent and very talented cast , especially Wang Kai as Song Yun Hooi and Yang Shuo as Lei Dong Bao. There were many scenes that were very moving and mind engrossed. If this drama could be shown to international audience worldwide,I believe it would be such a valuable and well received educational material by old and young alike especially told in a story form that make it even more relatable. Congratulations to the producers and cast! Looking forward to season 3!👍👍👍🙏
