Based on what kind of "democracy" can't a country be proud of its history and culture? If you can't take price from China, get off the planet earth. If you want to live, you have to take the fact that China is reviving to its past glory, and you cannot stop it. Pride and honor are not patented by the U.S. or any other country. Check your country's history, and you will find plenty of things you are ashamed as well. Yes, China has a lot of problems, but if your resentment can extend to totally innocent things, such as "Wushu" which belongs to not only China, but the entire world, then you are just choosing to be ignorant. Let me borrow a quote from Colbert, but with slight modification: "This is China. Like it or not, we don't give a fuck."
