25% social houses

Canada is different and I think it is better. First we have a closing day when you purchase the house or condo. Closing day depends on he seller normally 3 months. On that day, the deal is close, you will get the key from the lawyer.

In Canada, we all have to take off our shoes no matter it is carpet or hardwood floor.
Agree, on top of it, buying such an old house will come with a lot of problems, hopefully everything works fine with him

Contingent upon buying a new house條款呢!

Initial stage is not Sold, it should be STC - “subject to contract”, Sold will be after the exchange of contract. The purpose for having a porch other then security, main purpose is to prevent internal heating escaping from the house, and to some ppl it’s a grand statement. Barnet areas is quite big, really depending where you go, other side of barnet have plenty of quiet areas and nice houses too.

In order to teach children including musical instruments. You need to obtain a DBS police check and obtain a certificate to work with children. Parents may request it.
I recommend you rent first. Uplift your education and/or hands on skill. Ones you’ve stable income, then look for housing, school zone, etc that’s convenient for your family.
Your MacBook should probably use tb3 cable connecting to a tb3 dock & on to your router for direct lan connection instead of using WiFi. LAN cable are more secure & fastest connection setup. If your MacBook is latest M1 with tb4, then you should use the tb4 dock.

Private garage is preferable. Security is a factor. Auto insurance premium may be lower.
Residential internet is usually asymmetrical meaning the download speed and upload is different, usually the download is much higher than upload. 600 meg is quite adequate I think. If you live in a two or three storey house, the best is to have 2, 3, or 4 Wi-Fi 6 router in mesh, e.g Asus, connect them with Cat6 cable and it should cover most if not all of the area with good wifi speed. I live in Canada and I’m using 160/50 meg speed with 20 plus devices.

What I learned most from this episode of Professor Chiu is his way of coming up with the top 10 criteria of buying his first house in England. His logic, his reasoning, and his priorities are commendable. In terms of safety and security, it would be wise to minimize one's digital footprint on the web but being a KZbinr with 247K subscribers - that won't be easy. Once again, thank you for sharing your thought process in which we can all learn from it. Thank you.

Also consider if the main roads to and from the house could be flooded during rainy season, not only if the house could be flooded.

Wow you are so clean, carpet wash every 3 weeks! Most people might wash every 6/12 months. Ideally is to install wooden or laminated flooring for all downstairs area. And carpeted upstairs bedrooms. Good luck with your house purchase Mr Chiu. Surbiton's Tiffany School is best girl school.

Victoria terrace, nice one.
Purchase old house & antique house is a big headache…. lot of hidden cost, refurnish, repair appliances, gardening etc. If the location is good for kids in education & in new town with new developers… all new homes with warranty period up to certain yrs. all the appliances are new will be trouble free to replace!
Wall to wall carpet is yucky to clean, prefer wooden floor, but change carpet for stairs coz it‘s good for your back in long terms going up and down stairs and good for your parents too!You can buy carpet from IKEA to keep the floor warm in winter and throw away occasionally!Easier for you and your wife to maintain without a domestic helper. You can even install heated tiles in the bedroom as an alternative, but a bit pricey. If available , buying an RV so that you can travel around UK, or a yatch to go on Thames makes live more enjoyable 😎😎😎 Installing more tiles or a small dip pool in a large garden would add value to your house , your kids can enjoy dipping in the pool during hot days in summer! On top add value to your house too!
