W210 Mercedes SLS Rear Accumulator Replacement, Fluid Flush and Filter Swap

swapped out the accumulators did a bit of a fluid flush and replace the filter on my SLS on my 2001 w210 E320 estate

Nice video. I have a 2001 e320 wagon with a leaky valve.. same model as yours and replaced the balls today which we also bad. I accidentally had the level on the up position when I started the car after replacing the balls and the car went all the way to the highest point and made a "screaming/screeching" sound and as soon as I heard that sound I turned off the car.. I then went under the car and put the lever in the down position and the car went down to a level state. Now when I turn the car on and put the lever in the up position, the car doesn't go up. I'm assuming the valve may have kicked the bucket since it was already leaking. Do you by chance know if a new value has a bypass or a way to release/relieve pressure in the event the lever is left on the up position even if the car has reached it max height? I'm just wondering if what I did, even though it feels like I did something wrong, is actually something normal and the car should be able to handle having the lever in the up position?

This was actually really useful thanks. Do you think I am able to replace the accumulators by just removing them before bleeding anything out? I assume this will be fine with the car off and jacked up in the rear but wanted to ask.

HEY, someone with a W210! You can pull preemptively but I want to say the brake fluid will leak out as it's the lowest point. So I would wait until you have your new ones ready to go. You bleed after anyway
