Two things about the scrap yard you guys visited. The first every time I have seen a connecter you either have to get the items out of it at the connecter or have another one connected to it, you guys did neither. Second there was a door just past the furnace that again no one checked.

On the topic of building small ships from large grids, i always put a large rotor in the floor, grind off the head and add a small head. One benefit to this is it has a power connection, and it is stable, so no need for the t body scaffolding. Just my 2 cents.

On the subject of Mars atmosphere. Yes, Mars does have an atmosphere although it's so thin (0.6% as dense as Earth's atmosphere at sea level) that while atmospheric flight is technically possible you have to be going over escape velocity to get enough lift to stay flying (source: What If by Randall Munroe), so it's sort of a moot point. Yes, atmospheric wings mods work on Mars, and they provide a lot more lift and control than the real thing certainly would. Yes, atmospheric wings look cool and my vote is still to add the mod. My vote is about aesthetics.

I know its far to late now but I wish you had uploaded the building session on KZbin since Twitch is annoying in that it doesn't save such things for later. As its the building that calls to me it would have been to fun to watch. Just saying. :) At the same time, and again I know this is a while ago, but I have to say, this entire series has been quite fun to watch. So glad you both played it and uploaded it.

At 22:00, Why build a small grid the hard way? Just drop a small block connector upside down on top of the large one. When the ship is done, you can just lock the connector for a charge.

With the scrapyard, maybe the ship has to be connected to the output conveyor tubes.. to make a connection in order to expel your reward.

It should be noted that mars does in fact have an atmosphere and last time i played SE while I wasn't able to breath without the helmet I was able to use a vent on intake to get oxygen for my rover on it

Just to mind the possibility, you guys could bring the Oxigenfarm to the Mobilebase the same way you hooked up the Batteries and then pipe it into the System to reduce your need of Ice just a little.

re: missiles vs rockets, a missile is anything that flys that is not an aircraft a rocket however HAS to have.. well.. a rocket engine propelling it, its one of those brain teaser things, all rockets are missiles, but not all missiles are rockets throw a stone, its a missile, attach fireworks to the stone, its a rocket

There IS an atmosphere on Mars, just look at the landing procedures for the probes, they use parachutes... the problem is that it's only 0.6% of earths.

your question about the use of wings. really. you were standing on an atmo thruster that was built using wing tech to not use tech that built the atmo thruster in the first place is a little strange to me if you don't use wings then remove the atmo's as well.

To me, the Shotrod looks a lot like the assault craft, thing Obi-Wan loots from General Grievous, just missing the wing flares. Also a random thought... it would be interesting to see the number of resources lost due to all of the equipment lost with each save, DC or death combined.

zander films and gaming Keen says it will, but if we're being honest, it's never going to happen. There just isn't a console that would run it, except maybe the Xbox one X when it's out, but even then Keen has enough problems keeping up with the PC bugs and problems and they really couldn't handle another platform.

i just watched your building stream, and i thought i'd answer why weed/marijuana is illegal, but not tobacco or beer. marijuana contains a chemical, with a name and abbreviation i can't remember, sorry, but that stays on the brain for 6 months after smoking, and can cause cancer. and also because tobacco and alcohol is so ingrained most peoples cultures, it's almost IMPOSSIBLE to get rid off, while weed is fairly new, and therefor doesn't have as strong of a foothold. but this is up to each individual, as people who SUPPORT marijuana say this is NOT true, and people who DON'T support it, and a good deal of scientists, say it IS true! so, you'll have to decide YOURSELF what you believe. hope this was enlightening, or at least that it didn't annoy you. :)
