Space Engineers: SURVIVAL MODE 'PVE'? - Planetary Cargo Ships + Pirates + Dags

I fancy a little survival mode, but with a bit more 'threat' than normal... so let's see how the game plays when I actually leave on all those annoying options you normally disable - like the damn dags!
Plus of course I couldn't just ignore the fact I can add planetary cargo ships to the roster!

Nothing like some good old-fashioned horizontal take-off's. Got a Top Engineer challenge idea: Multi-purpose drone. Has to be able to change heads for multiple tasks. Build something, grind something, mine through a wall and possibly even fight, if you're feeling lucky. And one for Engineer Wars: 3-5 members of a team, each time builds ships that connect either with merge blocks or connectors, into one large ship. Everyone gets a colored stripe and between check points, they have to fly through tunnels or rings matching their color, then combine to pass through a checkpoint. Points lost for failing to pass through as a single ship, or hitting checkpoint rings.

The devs put so much work into planets. I honor their work by making massive rovers. I have made a Super Rover with 182 wheels and can only hit 20m/s on rough terrain.

I did some math for the playlist (For those planning to binge-watch it). The common amount of time for each episode is 4 hours and some change. Multiply this by 92 and you get 368 hours. Divide by 24 hours and you get 15 days. So if you plan on binge-watching the playlist you might want to set aside 8 hours or so per day (if you have nothing better to do) and you can watch every single episode in roughly 2 and a half months. If you decide to watch 12 hours worth a day then you can watch each episode in a month's time. And if you can only sit through one episode per day then it'll take you over three months to watch from start to current. A little midnight math for people.

I know it's way late to be giving advice, but always build solar arrays a couple hundred blocks straight up from your base on a vertical tower of blocks. It's efficient, won't get broken by turrets shooting dogs, and it's simple and cheap to build it higher later as necessary to get it out of shadows.

It's a little comforting to see you're stupidly powerful PC struggling with SE as well. Even though I've just invested in 16GB of RAM and a GTX 1080 too beef up my quad core i5. My sim speed was bouncing between 0.7 and 0.04 the other day. Nothing I did fixed it. Including loading an empty world with no mods. It's just SE.

In regards to the issue of wheel placement for planes in SE and being able to lift the nose for take off, just let off the throttle. I had the same issue on a few of my planes. All you have to do is thrust up to take off speed, stop thrusting, left nose, thrust again, then blow your cargo load all over her mountains because you put your runway to close to her beautiful mountains. Sorry for the pun but I realized what I had started then had to finish....and I did it again.

@@neonfruit7844 The short version is, Morph moved to Taiwan to study meaning the 3 of us couldn't be further apart timezone wise.. despite best intentions it became pretty much impossible to find enough time to record the episodes as each one was taking 12+ hours of just recording. It'd be nice to go back to it someday but the time zone issue is still there sadly, and the longer we've been away the more tricky it becomes to go back (lost files, game changes, saves broken etc) Not going to say it's impossible there will be more - just that it's quite unlikely I'm afraid :( I don't enjoy leaving a story unfinished :(

they fixed the containers not deploying chutes.... speed mod friendly(within reason of course) the game has gotten stable enough that a reasonable speed increase is totally doable. I always play with a 400 speed mod, flying at 100mps is painful, especially with the atmospheric mod.

You know when the guy told you about pressing the the hotbar button again to switch block size, you shot him down without trying what he said first... You do that often :( If your block snaps to the small grid, and you press the hotbar button again, it will become a large block and not snap! (It might be invisible, but Easy Inventory still works)

Loving his vids, but god the lack of attention is frustrating. ADD over 9000 here. Got to build a solar farm, sidetracked by trying to make ammo, forgets about making ammo to work on solar farm, and once again gets side tracked by something else. Looking for the crash he turns around after it crashes and starts flying straight towards it before turning to the right, then can't find it only to fly right over it on the way back. The lack of attention is frustrating, but at the same time it's what makes these videos good. Lack of attention = more randomness = funner video.

W4sted you should add Azimith mega mod pack, it adds many useful blocks including open cockpits & longer range ore detectors... Also have you seen that RDAV is coming out with a new Fleet Command soon, looks like it will be even better, 6 ship types(including torpedo/missle "boats"), more launch options(not just straight away from connector), no need to dock large ships, etc...

Interesting it comes up here and not in one of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. vids but I actually visited Chernobyl last year. Life seems to come along quite well with radiation and without human interference. Prypjat is beautiful eventhough I felt quite uneasy driving down the entrance road, checking every window for possible snipers... Unfortunately (or fortunately) they finished the new coffin, end of last year, so half of the power plant is now covered up.
