I really like so many of your designs and your methods are very simple and I particularly think it's beautiful how you often use Valchromat on the exterior and walnut on the interior, the opposite to many many works. My only reservation/question is why do you so often paint over wood/ Valchromat. Both are perfectly attractive materials without paint, and as Valchromat is available in a fairly wide number of pleasant colours, why not just use that, as over time the painted MDF will inevitably look worse than if it had no paint at all. Again, great work though. Cheers

Great question~! I often paint over wood, Pine, Valchromat, even Oak. Cause I love various color-way and colorful places. Valchromat has many their colors. but... it's not good, not clear, not vivid. that's not my style. And Pine, Valchromat, Oak...They show different allure when painted. Some woodworkers very very hate that...But I love it.

BTW, this is very first video of your's that KZbin suggested me to see. Made myself a coffee, opened software IDE, set this peace of art in background to play and just worked in parallel. I don't know why but it structures my thoughts to watch someone working. Especially when music is great :)

Hi, cool video. Short question. Why are you using velchromat since you are spraying it - Wouldn’t mdf be good enough? Have you ever built a plane grey velchromat kitchen without spraying it?

Love the big terrazzo tiles, an undermount sink would look better and more expensive. I personally wouldn’t stain that counter top with anything but polyurethane.

I use the Festool saw for making shuttering for fair-faced concrete. I bought my first one 12 years ago, it's still going strong! Still amazes me how good the saw is. Recently we bought the extra long guide for cutting 5m long sheets on site. Regards from Germany, nice work.

That gray Valchromat martial looks interesting. No edge banding and painting needed . I guess it holds screws better then regular MDF ? in the USA its special order and 3 to 4 times the cost of normal MDF

발크로멧에 녹색칠 전 하도제가 서페이서인가요? 칠하는 순서를 알고 싶습니다 하도 샌딩 상도 이런식인지요? 칠은 한번씩 인가요?

젯소입니다~ MDF할때는 서페이서를 사용하는데 그게 귀찮아서 발크로맷을 쓰는것도 있어요~ 일반 수성 젯소하고 400방 샌딩, 1창페인팅 600방 샌딩, 2차페인팅,후 바니쉬3회 1200방씩 으로 마무리 합니다~

I know it´s Valchromat, but i have never used it? do you use it for its properties instead of the color? how diferent it is compared to regular high quality MDF?? Thanks~! It's more adaptable for water-based painting.

Valchromat is around 30% stronger and more dense than MDF. Gives a better surface for painting. Better but also a lot more expensive (at least in my country - Denmark).

@@steenfraosterbro3268 Thanks for the answer!! I found a valchromat dealer here in my city. I am finishing 2 projects for clients but after that I will try it in a personal project, I have a lot of curiosity to see how it works. And yes, it's a lot more expensive.

@@roger_001 One advise. the color seems to differ a little bit from sheet to sheet. I have made a huge build in closet with yellow Valchromat fronts treated with water based poly. They are all smooth as a baby butt, but they do differ a little bit in the color. Guess that the price of a "natural" product. Believe they use Beeswax as a binder. I also tried Osmo oil treatment, that didn't go so well (very patchy in the colouring).
