Watch and learn from the master. This is how it's done guys. And goes to show that it's more than ok to say your call sign 3 times when calling in a pileup (not just one as some older hams insist on). But Jim spaced his calls with a firm grasp of situational awareness in the moment. What a great contact and it's hilarious to me how naysers on QRZ keep suggesting that there is no one on the bands and ham radio is dead. They live in deluded worlds. Thanks Jim for preserving this historical record.

Such a heartwarming, personal contact. I was fortunate to briefly work SP/4X6TT about a month ago on a low EFHW for the first time but nothing like a long distance contact with a good friend.

Good to hear you both, I spoke with 4x6TT on the radio from Israel (Amir's QTH) into our QTH in QLD Australia in the last few months using a 100 watts. Knowing to speak Hebrew helped a lot. Cheers everyone de VK4BYE (Joe) and VK4DJZ ( Meirav , known on the bands as Marie-Ann). As some might know I am fighting stage 4 lung cancer, if something happens , Marie-Ann will be taking over my call sign and continue to use it, she will need all the help she could get. 73

4X6TT's QRZ page is amazing. I've been a Ham for only 6 year and find my interest is starting to wane a bit. What's the secret to keeping amateur radio fresh for so long?
@nickkendall37645 ай бұрын
Learn something make something or work something if your bord with radio then I'm not sure but for me and it seems to be a common thing for people who have been on air a long time. to just be obsessive and passionate iv been on hf for 20 years and it's never lost its magic. Think about it your mouth and lungs make some air wobble and a mic pics it up and makes some electrons wabble which makes your radio make some electromagnetic field wobble on your antenna and that in turn makes the earths em field wabble all to be received and done in reverse the other side of the world. We all know how this works yet it still feels magical idk like I said iv been on hf for 20 years and it's still as exciting as day 1 for me and I do hope you can find what ever it is that gives you the same sense of satisfaction and excitement

Amir is a great guy , he’s always a blast to talk to . Let me also add his QSL manager N4GNR is also a great guy . He helped me get a few QSL cards from Amir and the special event call he does for JY1 , they are proudly displayed on my Qrz page . I have his cards framed on my wall with my dxcc awards . Looking good Jim 73’ N2JDX
