The Spicer is another U.S. - made constant-mesh box like the Roadranger, but it works differently and is harder to use than a R/R, trust me. They both got air shifts for range changes and splitters. Also I would say most twin stick boxes are Spicers.

I've always wondered wat the point of shifting between the same two gears was while driving in a parking lot. Figured I'd ask you since you don't seem to kno what you are doing ha ha

@ciastekwuzet1 this was how trucks were before the automated range splitter was invented. on modern trucks you have the range select switch on the stick. whereas here you had an extra stick called the "Auxilery transmission" . usually the "primary" trans mission was a six speed, & the "Auxilery" was 4, or 6 speed depending if the truck was spec'ed as a 10, or 12 gear truck.

Umm you never got outta 2nd primary 2nd auxiliary. If it was a 6x4 it a modern 6 speed Primary with a 4 speed brownie box.

Which model primary 'box this truck? From Transmission Technologies' MD/HD catalog, the PSO140-6A is fairly close to a direct replacement. The 1241C and AMO1750-4C secondaries are used for the same jobs, as well.

I would like a peterbuilt with 5x4 but don't know of anyone that chould drive one and help me learn I wish someone would make a tuterial on own you shift I think there neat I would like one.

@pete359l Now this obviously comes from a DRIVER. Great advice. I learned on 5x3 5x4 in old Diamond Rios. Didn't have a clue what the Hell I was doing. No stickers on dash like now. Figured them out. Then one day this new truck w/ odd looking silver disk type shifter. Road Ranger . WTH is this. Heaven. LOL
