The King and Queen M have been one of my favorite Royals and this has just ramped them up to #1 in my book. If you have never seen the video of Queen M driving a truck and backing it up to park, it is just wonderful. Wishing them and their children all the best and of course King Wilhelm's mother the best.

A story in the NY Times this morning said that the King and Queen planned to take a "history stroll," or walk, through New York City, visiting some of the original sites of New Amsterdam. Brooklyn, of course, was a part of the original Dutch colony, and I'm assuming Flatbush was too.

I know there is security all over the place, but it is notable that they are letting vehicles drive along the streets while the couple is walking. I would have shut the streets down. :)
