This was an amazing battle to watch. Doma has been on my radar for a while but there aren't as many videos of her so she's harder to keep up with, but she put up two amazing rounds, did her thing, and refused to get intimidated. She has a lot to be proud of, and I'm excited to see more from her in the future! Wizzard has been one of my favorite waackers for years and was one of my inspirations to start focusing on dance. He never lets me down when it comes to putting together a great performance, even if he doesn't win.

No hate here but I don't really understand how Wizzard can be one of someone's favourite waackers. He's not necessarily a bad dancer but the thing is that he always wins battles by over exaggeration and comedic gimmicks instead of actually doing something complex or skillful with the dancing.

@@Ell.06 Exaggeration and comedic gimmicks are a part of the style. Waacking originated when it was called punking, and in punking there were none of the arm movements we associate with waacking today. Punking was about creating a story with the music and creating memorable moments of dance with the influence of silver screen legends like Charlie Chaplin or Gloria Swanson. The arm movements came in from the influence of locking, and those arm movements only started getting faster with Princess Lockeroo and her helicopter-inspired technique in the late 2000s-early 2010s. Wizzard is one of my favorites because he keeps the original spirit of waacking alive, has great musicality, and brings a unique flavor to the way he dances. Nobody moves quite like him.

I would say that a lot of waackers don't actually dance. Anyone can execute technique with practice, but most people don't seem like they really feel or understand the music. At the end of the day dancing is about expressing your love of movement and song. I think both dancers did that here, but it seems especially in waacking many forget that.
