I grew up near the Toledo Terminal tracks, which Nickel Plate, Pere Marquette and Wabash all had trackage rights on. When I started high school in 1953 they were all still running some steam, when I graduated in 1957 steam was gone. As I recall all three were running Mikado type locos there.

You know it's fun to see it activate multiple crossings as it comes closer you can see one crossing activating one after the next as 765 enters each circuit of the crossings.
