I lived three years in Japan back in the 80s, and I think now more than ever the importance of Japan as a spiritual and aesthetic centre has never been more important. There is no other country that I’m aware of that can act as a bridge to a higher state of consciousness than Japan. The concept of Wabisabi is at the heart of this. The rest of the world has a self conscious awareness of these concepts I believe. But we are far from being able to communicate it to our fellow humans. However, in Japan, they have found a way to bring forth this deeper clear stream of consciousness… I only hope it flourishes into the 21st-century.

Really wonderful thank you. I miss Kyoto. Can I recommend one thing? In the future videos, it would be nice to hear the natural noises but the music is too loud. If I turn down the music, I cannot hear the rain or the cicadas or the crows which I prefer... maybe lower volume music can balance the natural sounds? Thank you from Vancouver.
