What a joy it is for a Westerner, to listen to the British commentator. Low key, only speaks when he has something to say, with long pauses. How refreshing this is in comparison to US commentators, usually at least two, who never shut up. Instead, they try to outdo each other by constantly blabbering and never taking a breath. Football is visual entertainment, who cares what they have to say when I see the game in real time with my own eyes. What a nuisance.

Japan's goalie needs to grow a couple of inches taller. Wang Sansan's last penalty which sealed the match's victory for China could have been saved for the Japanese goalie's raising left hand was only centimeters below the incoming ball.

China needs to avoid too many long passes. They must develop plan to advance with sure footed short passes. Also when throwing balls in, they lost the ball to Japan too many times, because there were too few players around the throwers who could have thrown to them.

The camera work and editing of this video leaves a lot to be desired. Another thing that struck me is that in all of the India games there is a lack of "ball boys", staff around the perimeter who feed balls to the playes when the ball went out. Most notible: Goalies had to hike for a ball on both sides. Looked more like a US High School match than what it was.

The deserving team won. Not the better team but the more deserving one. I say this because Japan played dirty football and China did not. Other items I observed: The Australian Referee did what Australians do, she aided and abetted excessive roughness by ignoring Japan's many fouls. That ist just the Australian way. Well known in FIFA circles is that Canada and Australia are vying for the crown of being the dirtiest football teams in the world. So, no surprise here. What happened to China's no. 14 player befuddled me. Was she acting? The two fouls on her seemed to be relatively benign. Perhaps she is in the wrong profession.

Doping of course had been the ugly underbelly of Communism's competitive prowes as Russia had been banned for the Olympics and other venues.
